Caramel + Mint

The color mint was definitely the hot color for spring and summer, and I think it's perfectly fall appropriate as well.  Accented with warm tones, this hue can easily transition into a fall wardrobe.  I received this perfectly pleated mint skirt from Christy, owner of Simply Audrey.  I love her boutique, because she carries sweet and feminine styles like this teal peplum blouse (um, yeah, I'm still obsessed!), and also rad pieces like the Back Weave detail dress.  This dress is MAJOR!  I would totally rock it. Wouldn't you?

My first instinct was to pair the skirt with something more structured, but instead, I decided a piece just as delicate as the skirt would be a better choice... at least for today. :)  I was feeling extra girly this morning.  Of course, the look wouldn't be me if I didn't add an edgy element.  This skull bracelet fit the bill; dainty, but super rad!

Collar Love

I'm a smitten kitten when it comes to peter pan collars. There's truly something magical and whimsical about them.  It's playfulness certainly brings out the kid in me.  When I discovered the jewelry line, LAB by Laura Busony, I was immediately enamored with her designs.  I was a kid in a candy shop.  Her creatively talented mind and skillful hands craft such amazing metal collar necklaces.  And I also love that she sources vintage finds in some of her designs.

I was so excited when she offered to send me one of her beautiful designs.  I chose the Brass Oxford Collar Bib Necklace (due to it's popularity and overwhelming demand LAB needed to raise their prices and this necklace is now valued at $148.)  Laura, couldn't have described it better; basic, but still a little edgy.  I love it so much.  It's beautifully and perfectly made.  Thank you so much, Laura!  This necklace is surely one of my favorites!

Laura has been kind and generous enough to offer my readers 25% off you purchase from her etsy shop.  Just enter AlohaLAB at check out.  There are so many goodies to choose from.  The hard part will be picking out which one (or ones!).  Happy shopping, loves.

Soft pleats

What better way to offset this delicate blush colored soft pleated skirt than with a psychedelic tee from UNIF!?  Who can resist a unicorn tee, especially a horny one?!  Ha!  Did I ever tell you unicorns are my favorite animal, aside from cats?!  I'm so ready for the weekend, so I'll keep this short.  As promised, I (actually, the Pirate, via random.org) picked the winner for the Shopbop giveaway.  Congrats to Allie from Heels Eggs & Rice.  Woo hoo! Paws up!  Thanks to everyone that enter.  And thank you Shopbop!!  Alright off to finish up my Friday... and get ready to enjoy the weekend.

Btw, I have no clue why it looks like I'm grabbing my crotch in the last photo.  I swear, I'm not! >_<

Heart♥

If you ask anyone that knows me personally, they'll tell you that I wear my heart on my sleeve.  So, when I was perusing through the aisles of Old Navy this weekend, I spotted this rad sweater.  Hello... so perfect for the girl who wears her heart on her sleeve, well, in this case, on her shirt? chest? sweater? LOL. I scooped up these shorts as well; the perfect pair of chambray polka shorts, and at a modest length, too!  I'm also totally loving these cobalt blue cap toe heels that My Hot Shoes sent over.  Cobalt is going to be hot this fall!!  I wasn't able to really capture the color of the heel itself, but it's a gunmetal hue.  Amaze!  If you wanna be twinsies and get yourself a pair, don't forget to use promo code: SHARON to get 20% off.  You can thank me later. :)

♫... every time I close my eyes, it's like a dark paradise, no one compares to you, I'm scared that you won't be waiting on the other side.. ♪... yeah, I'm sorta obsessed with Lana.  Aren't You!?

Blackout

Lately, I've been wanting to wear a lot more black pieces.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE color, but black is such an easy color (or lack thereof) to wear.  The key to wearing black is mixing different textures.  Megan from Alainn Bella sent over this dress.  I love the ease of the dress.  It can be dressed down or glammed up.  It's pretty enough to wear alone, but I wanted to pair it with my new-to-me leather vest that I picked up from Barrio Vintage, a super awesome vintage store located in Honolulu's china town.  And of course I had to wear my new Jeffrey Campbell shoes.  The Edea Spike is so HOT.  C'mon a wedge sneaker with spikes.  Amaze!!  The Pirate got these for me.  Seriously, the man knows the way to my heart!  Tee hee. :)

Lemony layers

A denim jacket is surely a summer essential.  I've had this one for years.  I love the cropped length and that it cinches at the waist.  And how cool is the floral studded applique!?!  I knew this jacket was meant to be paired with my new dress from Sugar Lips.  I love how the lemony chiffon layers are cut at different lengths which add a fun and sexy element.  Check out Sugar Lips, they have lots of great pieces and free shipping, too.  I'm totally eyeing this dress; so perfect for a summer picnic with some friends.

I got these heels a few weeks ago.  I've tried breaking them in, but they are definitely cab to curb heels.  They are probably the highest heels I own.  They're so pretty, so I need to wear them, and by wear them, I mean, to the office, while I sit on my bootay all day. :)  I love you, Mr. Campbell, even though my footsies hurt in these bad boys!

Floral overload

What better way to start off the week than with some floral overload!  I put together this look without thinking too much and I actually like the outcome.  Sure, at first glance it looks like there's a lot going on, but I think that's why it works.  Hey, if you own it and make it werk, it's bound to be a winner.

My mom and I went shopping over the weekend and treated me a few pairs of fun and quirky drugstore sunnies.  I love the over sized angular shape.  For less than five bucks, they keep the sun out of my eyes and keep me lookin' supah fly! ;)  And these fuchsia wedges paired perfectly with the look.

Here's to a fab week, loves!

Rose

I remember scooping these pants up at Nordstrom rack nearly two years ago.  This was the second time wearing them and I don't know why I haven't worn them more.  They are so unbelievably comfy and although they're technically harem pants,  they don't give me a case of poop-pant-itis.  Naturally, I wanted to pair the pants with something floral and feminine.  This rose print tank with frill and the rosette cropped jacket fit the bill, perfectly!  I also finally broke in my new mint Zara sandals.  And I think this over sized white envelope clutch tied the whole look together quite nicely. :)

Happy Hump Day, loves!! Catch you in a few....  muah.

Sunshine on my feet

Happy Aloha Friday, guys!

It's been super hot lately and not a trade wind to be found.  While I'm stocked up on lots of shorts for the summer, I still love to put on a pair of comfy jeans now and then.  These boyfriend jeans satisfy my jean craving without me sweating bullets.  Paired with fun animal print top and neon espadrille wedges, it made for a nice causal Friday look for the office.  These wedges are super fun.  They're like sunshine on my feet!!  Blindingly delightful! :)

Hope you guys have a fun filled weekend!  See ya next week.

Ice Cream, you scream!

It's a rarity that you'll ever see my hair up.  I don't really like to show off my mouse-like ears, >_< but I thought this cool little outfit needed some "cool" hair, so I flew my locks up into a messy bun.  Isn't this shirt rad?  I totally love it.  The material is super soft and airy and of course I couldn't resist the quirky ice cream print.  Who doesn't love ice cream, right?  Now, I'm craving a big bowl of Kona mud pie. YUM.

Hope your week is going great so far!
