Hai!

Hi guys!  Sorry for being m.i.a. all last week.  I was battling yet again another cold.  I just had the flu in April!!  Luckily this time around it was just a little cold.  I was confined to my bedroom for 4 long days.  The Pirate was a trooper and took care of me.  He also let me be extra whiny. ha ha. I kid! well, half kid.  ^_^  My instagram, twitter, and facebook feeds were a vital part to my recovery and sanity.  It really does suck being sick and stuck in the confines of your home.  I could not wait to get up and get out!  The Pirate did boost my mood by surprising me with these new rad ass kicks.  He is the best!  Sure, my collection of Jeffrey Campbell shoes seems minuscule in comparison to JC Queen, Asami a.k.a. Pink Kitten, but these are my 7th pair of Litas.  Lucky number Seven!  I'm sure my lovely Mae and BFF are rolling their eyes in disgust.  LOL.  I'll never be able to turn them. >_<

I've been meaning to announce the winner to the Alainn Bella Giveaway!  Thank you to everyone who entered and of course big thanks to my girl, Megan for partnering up with me again.  I used random.org and the lucky winner was #47 - Wen-D!
And don't fret if you didn't win this giveaway, I've got a couple more giveaways lined up!  Hope everyone's Monday was great!! Talk to you guys, soon.

Shiny things

This dress has gotten a lot of wear this past month.  Three times to be exact (first time to my company holiday gala. In a dressier styling, of course)  Because of it's flashiness, one would save it for night time festivities, but I wanted to make it more "day-time appropriate".  Enter the camel sweater and leopard loafers. :)  I wore this combo on the last day of classes (and then again, this past week to a friend's holiday party).  What better way to end the semester than looking like a shiny disco ball!?  Perhaps this outfit may seem out of control, but I feel it's an unlikely pairing that works, at least in my book. :)

I picked a winner of the Shabby Apple Giveaway and the winner is, Amanda.  Congrats chica!  Thanks to everyone that entered and big thanks to Shabby Apple!

I Love Olive

I surely do love Olive.  The color, the food, and even the name.  Wouldn't it be cute to name your little darling, Olive? :)

Megan over at Alainn Bella sent me this charming little number.  I love the fit, feel, flow, and print of this dress.  And it's lined too!  A+, in my book. :)  Personally, I don't wear pieces with cap sleeves, because they make my "shapely" arms look even bigger than they already are, but I think the cap on this dress, fits me quite nicely.  Cap sleeves definitely make dresses feel more feminine and delicate.  Because of the delicate vibe of the dress, I couldn't resist edging it up a bit.  I layered on my trusty safari/utilitarian-esque vest, studded belt, and JC Tardy's.  I really love this styling!  It's so ME!  However, I was going to be out and about running errands yesterday and wanted to make sure I could get them done in a jiffy, so I switched over to a pair of patent leather olive colored ballet flats and a playful belt.  A total 180 from the first look, but equally as amazing! :)  And don't you love the monochromatic palettes of both looks as well?  I surely do.  The "I Love Olive" dress is fully stock (in all sizes) at Alainn Bella.  Hop on over and get one for yourself and maybe even a friend.  Trust me, you'll love it!  Fits true to size too!  Don't forget to enter "Elisharon" at check out for your discount.

I finally picked a winner for the Alainn Bella ankle jeans.  The lucky lady is, Annette of the VersaStyle!  Congrats girl.  Can't wait to see you style these babies up.  Thanks to everyone that entered and thanks Megan for this giveaway! Muah.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, loves!

Emerald Waves

Yesterday, the Pirate took me out for lunch at The Plantation House Restaurant.  I haven't been there in years, but I knew exactly what I wanted to order.  I've been craving eggs benny for so long, and The Plantation House has the best.  I got the crabby eggs benny and oh boy was it delectably divine.  I ate every single bite. Their hollandaise sauce is AMAZEBALLS!!! mmmmmm.  It is so out of this world that I wanted to lick my plate clean.  However, I resisted the temptation.

Christy from Simply Audrey sent me the Emerald Waves sheer top as a gift.  It's everything that I love about a top; light and flowy chiffon with a great print.  I knew I wanted to wear it with my new paper bag shorts I got from AE a few weeks ago.  I really love green and navy paired together.  Don't you?

Thanks to everyone that enter my Simply Audrey giveaway.  I enjoyed reading all the entries.  Trusty Random.org helped me choose the winner, and entry #77 was the lucky one.  Congrats to Angie from Living Aloha.  She's also from Hawaii!!  Woop Woop. ;) She's an aspiring artist and photographer, definitely check out her blog when you get a chance.  Thanks again to all that entered. And big thanks to Christy from Simply Audrey for partnering up with me for this giveaway.

Off to get my Pho on and then indulge in the VMA's.  Can't wait to see Miss Gaga's performance.

Friendship bracelets

I've been under the weather the past couple days, hence the lack in posts.  I hate getting sick in the warmer months of the year, because I feel even more miserable.  I'm super hot and sweaty one minute and the next thing I know, I'm shivering under the covers.  Well, while cruising under the covers today, I decided to do a little diy-ing.  Ever since I saw one of my fav bloggers Jules from Sincerely, Jules post about these awesome friendship bracelets, I knew I had to make a few of my very own.  They're not as pretty as the ones Jules has, but I think they turned out pretty rad.  I remember back in the day, I made a ton of these.  I miss being a kid,  it was less complicated back then, wasn't it?

And I'm sorry for not posting this sooner, but the winner of the Fabric & Handle bag giveaway is, Jess.  Congrats girl!  Thanks to everyone who entered and big thanks to Fabric & Handle too!  Jess, I'll contact you in a bit... look for my email. :)  I have another giveaway coming up and it's pretty awesome if you ask me.. check back soon!

MY FAVORITE COLOR

Instinctively, my favorite color is pink, but weirdly enough, I don't really care for pink clothing.  When I shop, I normally stay away from the pink items.  Strange huh?  I may have a new favorite color... so Pink's got some competition.  I'm in love with leopard print (in the traditional colors).  Yes, I'm aware it's not an actual color, but Crayola should consider making it into a crayon shade. :)  Season after season, we see this "color" on the runways and look books.  And even when it's "out of style/season", I'll still love it.  I was inspired by my love of pink and leopard print and did some new nail art.  Do you likey?  I surely do.  Do you have a favorite color?

Congrats to Stevie-Lyn of Hearts and Crafts.  I'll be contacting you shortly to get your info.  Thanks to everyone who entered. :)

Knit, chiffon, and a unicorn horn

Dear Monday,  Thank you for being so kind to me today.  Your friend, Sharon.

I spent most of my day thinking about my BFF.  I hate that an entire ocean separates us.  I need some face time with her.  So, BFF if you're reading this, please buy a ticket to Maui, ASAP!  And thanks again for getting me this JC heel.  I know you think it's ridiculous, but I love it.  :)

Also, congrats to Wen-D for winning the Perricone MD giveaway.  Thanks to everyone who entered.

A cake that goes pop

One of my best friend's son's 2nd birthday is coming up and I offered to make the desserts.  One of which will be lion and tiger cake pops!  I did a test run tonight (with items I already had on hand) and they came out pretty good.  To be honest, they took what seemed forever to make, but hopefully with a little more practice, I'll be able to pump these babies out.

And now for the winner of the Hammered Cuff by Wendy Mink... congrats to the lovely Mae of  thereafterish.  Thanks to everyone who entered and don't fret I have another fun little giveaway coming up.  Again, thank you Wendy Mink team for being so awesome!  You guys totally rock. :)

Leopard twins

I love having a pup who loves dressing up as much as I do.  Pooma is the stylish maltipoo I know.  She's also very spoiled.  I went through her wardrobe and she has over 30 pieces of clothing!  She even has a raincoat, scarf, leg warmers, and shoes.  We recently got her a leopard fur vest and she absolutely loves it.  So of course we needed to take a photo of us sporting our furs!  Look how happy she is...

Thanks Sally for the fur coat! I'll love it forever!

And I wanted to announce the winner of my Jeffrey Campbell Giveaway.  Congrats to JoAnn of Sidewalk Chic.  You're going to look super chic sporting the JC's.  I hope you have as much fun in them as I do in mine.  I'll email you in a bit to get your info.  Thanks to everyone to entered!

Feelin' out of focus

I feel a bit under the weather.

I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but when I'm at home I like to wear my shoes around.  My collection is abundant and I feel like a lot of shoes get ignored.  So it's only fair to give them a whirl while trotting around the house.  My mom got me these Dolce Vita heels last week.  They're quite comfy considering they're 5 inches high with only a 1/2" platform.  Thanks for the shoes mom.

These camouflage shorts are about 5 years old and I am definitely not a fan of camouflage, but there's just something about these shorts I love.  And they're my favorite at-home-lounging-without-company-over shorts. :)  Isn't it funny that as (fashion) bloggers, we don't really showcase our "at home" outfits.  Anyone dare to share?

{T by Alexander Wang sweater | Mossimo camo shorts | Dolce Vita heels}

Before I go and try to find something to prevent this cold from starting up, I wanted to thank all of you that voted for me in the I am Khatu's Vibrant Summer Contest.  Thanks to all your votes, I won.  Thanks Khatu for a great contest.  And I also want to announce the winner Wildfell Hall Giveaway.... congrats to Megan Rose of donatilarose.  Megan, I'll be contacting you shortly. Thanks to everyone who entered and also big thanks to Amy from Wildfell Hall.  It was great working together.

It's naptime

It's 5 in the afternoon and I want to nap.  I'm such a grandma.  Today, I have a great excuse to take a nap...  last night I only had 2 1/2 hours of sleep.  Naptime, here I come.

I'll leave you with a pic from a couple weeks ago.  I love this romper, but I also hate it.  I hate it because Eli had to follow me to the bathroom everytime I needed to go.  It buttons in the back.  WTF!  Obviously a woman did not design this.  I still love it though.

{F21 romper | Jeffrey Campbell "Splendid" sandals | random ring}

Before I visit pillowsville, I picked a winner for the Wendy Mink Jewerly giveaway.  Congrats to holly of holly in heels!  I'll be emailing you in a bit to get your info (after my little nap).  Thanks to everyone who participated.  And a BIG THANKS to Wendy Mink and the WMJ team.

Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

I am not a repeat offender. I swear!  And if I was, would you hate me? I hope not.  I think I like this lace top a bit more than the previous one.  I don't feel guilty about owning two lace tops that are pretty much identical, because they're both from F21 and they were cheap cheap cheap.  My birthday is in exactly one week from today and I'll be turning twenty eight.  So, considering I'm in my late 20's, I should think twice about shopping at F21 so much, if not at all!  Ha ha.  At least here on Maui, I don't have to be surrounded by a bunch of annoying over-enthused teenage girls.  I guess I pick the right times to step foot into that store.  Plus, ours is pretty organized and NEVER a mess.

I wanna thank everyone for their comments and concern over my eye. :) It feels like it's almost 100% better.  I'm still not sure if it was a stye, but it's definitely not pink eye.  Whew.  The hot compress helped a lot.  I can't wait till it's completely healed. I hate going out without mascara on.

{F21 lace top | GAP cami + skinnies | Michael Kors flats | Macy's bracelet + ring}

Again I want to give a huge thanks to my girl Megan from Alainn Bella for hosting an awesome giveaway.  You rock chica.  Hopefully if you ever visit Hawaii, we can sip some cocktails on the beach together. :)  So drum roll please.... the winner of the Alainn Bella "Striped Dress" giveaway is Viv from DiamondsandTulle!  Yippee!  Thanks to everyone to entered.  And great news, I have ONE more giveaway before the month's over, so check back.  It's gonna be a sweet one!

A fun find in my closet

There's a little pink lunch wagon in town called, Nobu's.  It's been around for 18 years and I've never eaten there.  Today, before Eli went to work, we decided to finally give it a try.  We had the shoyu chicken (served with rice, macaroni salad, and noodles.)  Mmmmmmm!  It was a party in my mouth. Why haven't I eaten there earlier?  I'll probably go back tomorrow for lunch!

{hubby's UO shirt | ON perfect khaki shorts | Steve Madden sandals

A couple years ago, I literally stalked the Macy's shoe department for these sandals.  They were priced at $90 when they first came out, but a couple weeks later were marked down to $50, so I snatched a pair right away.  As much as I loved them back then, I never wore them.  Today, they finally made their debut and I still love them as much as I did the day they came home with me.  I love discovering things in my closet!

I'd like all of you to meet my new lovelies.  Got them from my in-laws as an early birthday gift!  When I saw Rumi from Fashion Toast, sporting these babies a while back, I knew I had to have a pair. I'm  super excited to wear them out, but also a wee bit terrified!

And congrats to Leah from The Domesticated Wife.  She's the lucky winner of the Menara Earrings from Spotted Moth.  Thanks again for everyone that participated and BIG THANKS for the team from Spotted Moth for such a lovely giveaway.

The 189th day of the year

I was actually going to post my first video blog, but it turned out awkward.  Maybe next time.

The cheesey photo of me standing under the IHOP sign was taken this past Monday after we took my Sister to the airport.  She went back home and I miss her so much.  It was great having her visit.  It's funny, because we're only a 30 minute flight away from each other, yet don't visit as often as we should or would like to.  I miss you Sister and I'll see you soon!!
Random tidbit: I NEVER call my Sister by her first name.  Since I can remember, I've always called her "Sister".  She also only calls me Sister too.

After we dropped Sister off, I had a craving for some pancakes, so we hopped on over to IHOP to satisfy the craving. nom. nom. nom.

I want to thank everyone who participated in the House of PlumRed "Cake Dress" giveaway.  I loved reading everyone's picks!  And a big congrats to the lucky winner..... Mara from M Loves M.  Hip hip Hooray!  Also, BIG thanks to House of PlumRed for teaming up with me and hosting this awesome giveaway.

I have another great giveaway coming up, so definitely check back.

Messy, moi?!

My bff  sent me a super cute miniature bibimbap platter and some very useful books.  I'm sure Eli appreciates that she sent me the "How not to be a messie" book.  I'm definitely not skilled in that department, but hopefully this book will help me out!  Do you all have any tips on how not to be a messie?  I'd love to hear them.

And of course I wanted to congratulate the winner of the MissHillary bag giveaway.

Congrats Sandy!

All of you need to check out her sweet and inspirational blog. She's got great diy's, recipes, and captures beautiful photos!  Thanks to everyone who entered. :)

Clogs on my mind... again

The people in my life are probably sick of hearing me say... "I want NEED clogs!"  I've been wanting these, these, these, and especially these. I know I have my beloved Jeffrey Campbell Studded Snick, but if I could I'd really love to get these babies!

This purchase is going to happen anytime soon.  Well, realistically never, (unless someone from Chanel is reading this post and wants to send a pair to me! Wishful thinking.).... so to my surprise while visiting www.Payless.com, I came across these.

I'm also diggin' these style from Payless.  I think I'll need to take a trip there this weekend.

{L - R: Alice+Oliva, Alice+Olivia, Christian Siriano, LelaRose, LelaRose}

I also want to congratulate the winner of the InezDesigns giveaway.
Congratulations to Jen of jennifhsieh!

She's a total sweetheart and cutie patootie.  If you haven't checked out her blog yet, you must go right now! Congratulations Jen!  I'll be emailing you shortly to get your deets.  Thanks to everyone who entered.

Hope you all are having a cheerful Tuesday!

The best way to get something done is to begin

Summer is fast approaching.  Before we know it, we'll all be sizzling!!  And of course I live in the hottest town on the island... thank goodness for tradewinds.  My hair looks disheveled in these pics.  I kind of like it.

And congratulations to Leah, who won The Pagestoppers Giveaway.  Thanks to everyone who participated in the giveaway.  You can still get your very own Pagestopper, just hop on over to Grace's shop, click here.

Pooma also wanted me to tell everyone, "Arf ruff ruff arf arf arf. Ruff ruff ruff arf arf."  Which means, "Thanks for all your lovely comments!  You guys are the best!"

Well, I've got tons to do and so little time.  Why do I always do things last minute!?
