Out.Of.Control.

Omg.  I die.  You look bananas.  I think I just had a Chanel Heart attack!

This is year for Halloween, I decided to dress up as something completely and utterly fashionable... Rachel Zoe.  I got the idea from Carolina's Halloween for Fashionista's post.  I even got the hubby to dress up as my assistant, Brad Goreski.  We dressed up for class today and it was a hit.  Not too many people knew who we were, but everyone thought we were F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S.  I'd have to agreed.  Anyone else dressing up?

Off to Oahu!  See ya all next week.  Have a safe weekend. Kisses.

Plaid is Rad

I know I was supposed to announce the winner for the Shopbop Giveaway, but I'll do that tomorrow.  Today I feel a little more at ease.  I still got tons to do before Friday, but I feel like they're more attainable now.  :)  The Pirate and I will be spending this weekend in Oahu.  I'm super excited.  Hopefully Nordies will have some new JC's.  I'm dying for a pair of Lita's, but I can't make a decision on which to buy.

I had my JC Snicks on earlier, but felt like the red shoes added a much needed pop to the outfit.  The blazer sort of makes me feel like a school girl, but since I am in school, it seems fitting. :)  Alrighty, gotta jet... lots of sewing to get done!

Before I go to bed....

Hi Friends! Remember me?  :)

Sorry I've been MIA.  I feel like I've been spreading myself way too thin.  Lately, I can't say "no" to anyone.  I'm the type of person that wants to help everyone and anyone.  Well, almost anyone.  Halloween is coming up, anyone planning on dressing up?  I don't really feel in the mood this year, but who knows, I might just whip something up at the very last minute.

Well, it's late and I'm tried... here's a couple shots from my 10 year reunion.  Not the best photos, but the best from the bunch.  Good night... sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite.

Scalloped by Sharon

Milk does a body good.  I prefer the non-fat variety, but if I'm gonna go full fat, pass the chocolate please!

You can finally say hello to my scalloped hem shorts.  I've been talking about them forever, but have just been a lazy to post them.  What do you think?  I think they turned out pretty great.  The fabric was labeled 100% polyester, but it definitely doesn't feel that way.  It has a lightweight suede-ish feel to it.  It also feels and look more luxurious than $4/yd.  I've started my third project - a long sleeve lace shirt.  I promise to share that one when I'm done.

Have a great night everyone and don't forget to enter my giveaway, here.

Shopbop + Jeffrey Campbell are FAMAZING!

I'm sure all of you have heard of Shopbop.  I mean, if you haven't, you really should get to know this fabulous website.  I can peruse hours on end through all the glorious things they have for purchase there.  Look at these gorgeous pieces that are currently on my wishlist:

There are hundreds of designers to choose from.  They even house one of my favorite shoe designer, Jeffrey Campbell.  You all know how much I love him!  And you all know my obsession with shoes... from flats, to heels, to clogs, and even the "unfashionable" Ugg boots.  Yah, that's right, I own a pair!  :)  A great feature that Shopbop offers is their Shopbop coupon.  Who wants to hassle with searching the internet for coupon codes?  Shopbop gives you a list on their site of the current codes they're offereing.  And who doesn't love to save a little cha-ching?! What I also find incredible is that they offer 3 days (or less) free shipping and on international orders too!  I love that I don't have to wait for what seems like a lifetime to receive my online goodies.

Well readers, YOU'RE IN LUCK!  You get a chance to win a $100 gift card to Shopbop.  Awesome right!?  Why can't I ever enter my own giveaways.. dang.. hee hee.  Okay, so to enter, just do the following:

Feelin' purpley

Last night was my 10 year HS reunion.  I was reluctant to go, but glad I did.  It was a small group, but I had a blast.  I'll have to look through my pictures to see what I can share. ha ha. :)  I'm also hanging today, so I think the night was success.  Oh and my new favorite drinkee is Kettle and Soda... mmmm so good!

I was inspired by this post by the lovely Carolina from Closet Full of Nothing.  I loved all the purple she wore and those Brian Atwood heels are to die for!! I looked in my closet to see what purpley tones I could pair together and came up with this.  Definitely not as fabulous as Brian Atwood heels, but I liked how the outfit came together.

Well, I'm off to a BBQ with a bunch of friends from class.  mmmm I heart BBQ's.  Have a fun Saturday guys.

True blue, baby I love you

The house smells delectable right now.  There's yellow cake baking in the oven.  I'm making a tres leches cake for tomorrow.  Have you ever had tres leches?  It's like a piece of heaven in every bite. Mmmm.

I got this top the other day at a local boutique, Mahina.  I'm still very much drawn to anything with stripes and the fun cutouts on the shoulders add to the quirkiness of this top.  The hemline is what hooked me though.  I love the tail. :)  If you're looking for a top like this (and you don't live here on the island), you can actually get the same top on Nasty Gal.  That's right, it's the exact same top.  I got mine for half the price that Nasty Gal is selling it for, but $38 is still a deal.  You can also find this bird print wrap dress that I wore in this post on Nasty Gal.  I got mine from Mahina.

Pink Ice: Skinny Cargo Pants Giveaway!!

I'm sure everyone lately has been coveting the skinny cargo pants trend.  I think every girl needs a fun pair of cargo's that doesn't hide her shape, but accentuates it!  Show your curves girls!  (In a tasteful way of course).  I'm happy to announce that if you're a shapely fashionista, you get the chance to win your very own pair.  Pink Ice sent me these fabulous  Skinny Cargo Pants.  I really wanted to keep them for myself, but the rise is just a tad too low for me. :)  I love how these pants have elastin in them, so it does wonders to the bootay!

2.  Like Pink Ice on Facebook. (+ 1 entry)

Chunky

I wore this to the market.  It's funny that I like to get "dressed" up for the market, especially late at night.  I want to live in this chunky knit sweater.  It's so comfy and I scored it for only $2.50.  It's such an easy piece to wear, just grab and go.  I can see myself wearing it much more once the weather starts cooling down.  I'm also wearing another piece that Pink Ice sent over - a gold knotted chain necklace.  It's a great necklace on it's own, but it looked better layered with another piece.

Happy 10-10-10!  I bet tons of lovers are getting married today. Wheeeeee. :)

Z-Z-Z-Z-Zara!

I'm really excited to share my scalloped hem shorts with you all.  It's in the finishing stages and should be completed soon (like tonight... I just need to peel myself away from the computer, ha ha).  I'm very proud of myself because I had to alter the pattern to make the scallops and that was a bit of a challenge.  Stay tuned.

I finally wore my F21 satchel.  I've had it for a while now, but was too lazy to switch out my bag. ha ha.  Do you guys find it a hassle to switch out your bag?  I don't know why I carry so many (unnecessary) things in my purse.  I found a glue stick in my bag.  Weird.

Thank you for the comments you all left about my post yesterday.  Friendships come and go and it's sad to see some end, but everything happens for a reason right?  Speaking of friends, I've connected with a lot of fun, unique, kind, stylish, and amazing people here in the blogosphere and one of those sweeties is Seval from Turkey!  Check out her adorably chic blog here.  She doesn't have a local F21 store in Turkey and I don't have a Zara here in Hawaii, so what better way to satisfy our shopping desires, than to do a shopping swap. :)  I got my very first items from Zara the other day.  I was so excited when I opened the box that Seval sent and she was also kind enough to gift me a Miu Miu-esque kitty scarf.  It is so adorable!  Thank you again Seval.  I hope you love the things I got you as well and I hope they come soon!

Okay, peeling myself away now.  Scallop shorts, here I come!

Poodles are friends too

I just came home from a great night with friends.  Tonight made me realize that true friends are hard to come by.  There are some friends that you can go days, weeks, months, sometimes even years without seeing and when you get together, you pick up right where you left off and it just feels natural.  The past few days I've come to terms that some friendships aren't worth saving.  A lot of thinking, evaluating, and re-evaluating have been going on in my noggin.

Before I go, I want to share this fun little sweater I wore today to work.  I heart poodles.  Pooma is half poodle.  :)

{F21 sweater | Banana Republic pants | Sam Edelman flats | Volcom bag | Wendy Mink ring}

I'm exhausted.  I need to sleep.  So, I'll see you all tomorrow.  Good Night lovelies.

To rid the world of ugly shoes, one pair at a time

I can peruse the Solestruck site for hours.  They offer a variety of shoes brands - my favorite being Jeffrey Campbell, but I'm sure you already knew that.  I NEED the Lita, but there are so many colors, so it's hard to choose.  I'll let you know when I've made a decision.
