Why are you wearing rubber shoes?

Happy New Year!!  2012 is going to be magnificent.  I just know it.

Since we had a quiet night at home last night, the Pirate took me out for dinner tonight. And since I was dressed up with no where to go last night, I decided to take my new skirt out for a spin.  Funny thing, my grandma saw me in this outfit and told me I looked so pretty, until she saw the shoes.  She stood there in disbelief and asked me, "Why are you wearing rubber shoes?!"  I told her I needed to give me feet a break from the heels.  In actuality though, I just wanted to wear shoes that made me smile and that weren't such the obvious choice to wear with such a girly outfit.  Mission accomplished. :)

LOL 'rubber shoes'. I like this look!! I'm not normally a huge fan of sneaks with skirts, but you're rocking this, S!!

Happy New Year!!

PS - that skirt you made a few posts back? AMAZING. The detail work is perfection. Love that huge fabric covered button in the back. Wow.

I love seeing you in flats, it's a rare sight. Ahem, fabulous skirt by the way. I made my feather skirt with feather trim. There was no way I was going to hand sown individual feathers. I'm not as skillful as you are, my dear!

How cute are you! I thought "rubber shoes" meant something like Doc Martens, but Chucks are fun! Grandmas are so cute really. Happy New Year Sharon!
