Build

I adore jewelry that make statements.  They don't have to be "showy" pieces, but they do need to be interesting and inspiring.  That's what I love about V Nunes Jewelry.  Veronica Nunes is brilliant at creating amazingly gorgeous modern pieces.  Let's meet the woman behind the line...

Tell us a little about yourself
I am a jewelry designer and goldsmith and native from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Since an early age, I have had a great passion for designing and crafting small objects. My first contact with jewelry design came while studying at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) with a degree in product design. I immediately identified with the jewelry crafting process and the opportunity it provided to express my design ideas into small wearable pieces of art. As a product designer, I am focused on designing attractive wearable objects that will enhance the human body form as well as will fit the body comfortably, ergonomically.

Where do you find inspiration (for your jewelry line? Etc...)
The natural environment as well as man made objects inspires me. My hometown is filled with beautiful beaches, lush forest and iconic rock peaks that served as inspiration for my first collection. Now that I have made NYC my second home, I’ve been inspired by the diversity of architecture, people, objects and human made landscapes in the city.

What type if girl do you see wearing your designs?
I design jewelry for the modern independent woman, who has her own personality and style. I design pieces to make them feel elegant, confident and feminine at any occasion.

Your fashion icon? And favorite designer?
Costanza Pascolato, Antonio BernardoIf you could style one famous person with your designs, who would it be?
If I could style one famous person, would be Madonna.

Hop on over to see Veronica's complete jewelry line; V Nunes.  You will not be disapointed!  And you'll want to own everything! I know I do. :)

Here's the rest of my ootd.  I'm really lovin' the pink and red trend, but wasn't ready to go so bold with the pink, so I think this micro check shirt is the perfect way to ease into the trend.  Baby steps, right?  Happy Hump Day, loves!

{shirt: Izod | pants: Zara | ring: c/o V Nunes | watch: Citizen (dad's, vintage) | necklace: F21
bracelets: t + j designs (gifted), AE, F21, BR | sunnies: Rayban | bag: Tahari  | boots: Black Poppy (gifted), buy}

Love, S

That ring is gorgeous - it's so simple but eye-catching. It looks like it has a nice weight to it.
Also, loving the lace-up detail of that bag ... :)

It's definitely for a modern and independent woman who isn't afraid to make a statement.

Great pick.

I love Veronica; she's so sweet! You wear the build ring beautifully. I still love and wear mine to this day! Also, I must tell you how jealous I am about how well Zara pants fit you. Like a glove! They never fit me properly - I think they were made only for women who are perfectly proportional :( Lucky duck!

Hope you're having a great week Sharon!

Carrie - the ring definitely has some weight to it. I love it!

Girlie - You know me, I love to get noticed. :)

Jen - Aww thanks! I love these Zara pants (and my green ones, too). They really do fit great. I just wish I got them in all the colors.. or at least in black. Haha.

I love this little interview, her jewelry is fantastic, I love the clean minimalistic and classic look. I definitely would (if I had the $$$ to), purchase a bunch of her jewelry!

Also, the pink and red is fantastic together, I'm not brave enough to do it, but you go girl!

I love that ring. It looks like it's super high quality, but really, really chic.

I can't believe I'm going to see you in like a day!

Crazy. Shar + Mae! SharMae! HAHAHA! or Maeron... hahaha! Just beware, I'm a bit weird. And a Hippie.

Nate is kind of anti-social... he's kind of shy around people he doesn't know, and he has absolutely no interest in fashion, which bores him... so we'll have to make sure to try to encourage Eli to engage Nate in something other than Fashion-related things. HAHAHAHA!

CAN'T WAIT!
