jux·ta·pose

Didn't the weekend zip by? I had a productive one, filled with fabric shopping and sewing. :)

I've had this dress for nearly 3 years.  I think it was one of the first pieces I thrifted.  This is the second time I've worn it.  I really should wear it more often.  I think I might use it again next week for my birthday!  I knew this dress would go perfectly with this gorgeous OWLITA feather earring that Ashley (creator/designer) sent over.  The earring is made of natural and hand dyed feathers.  The craftswomanship is exquisite.  There is a lot of love and attention to detail that goes into each design.  Snatch up you very own Owlita feather earring(s), here.  There are so many rad designs and colors to choose from.  Some of my faves would be the Prairie NaturalPrairie Black & White, and the Prairie Plum.

As for the rest of the look, I love the juxtaposition of the softness of the dress and the wild JC shoe.  My new over-sized faux leather clutch (DIY'd by yours truly) also adds another element of edge.  Me likes!!

Help Me Please!!

Hey lovelies!  Can I ask you a HUGE favor?  I recently entered a contest for a rad pair of OWLITA earrings... And I need your help.  All you need to do is "like" Owlita on Facebook, then "like" the comment that I left on their page.  This was the comment I left:
"You'll never find anyone as good for you as I am, to believe in you as much as I do or love you as much! "
-Katie to Hubbell (The Way We Were) I ♥ this movie... Robert Redford was so dreamy ♥

AND if you leave a comment on the comment I left on their page, that would count as a double vote for me.  The person with the most likes by February 7th, will win the earrings!!  Can you believe one girl already has over 200 likes on her comment?! Crrrazy!  So, your help is super appreciated.  Hop on over to Owlita's Facebook page, here.  Thanks so much!!!

As for the outfit below... I think the pants make me look hippy-er than normal, but they are just so comfy.  Get this, they're little boy's pants too.  Who would've thought!  I enjoyed a yummy bowl of beef bourguignon from Maui Bake Shop.  I can't believe it took me this long to uncover this hidden treasure.  If you're ever on Maui, Maui Bake Shop is the place to be.  It's the closest to France that I can get.. at least for now. And OMG, the french horns are like biting into heaven.  d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s.

... oh and Happy Chinese New Year!!
