Flower Crown

I wanted to share with you guys one of my current obsessions, and no, it's not the pineapple, even though my instagram feed begs to differ.  I love flower crowns!!!  For a while, I've been contemplating diy-ing one for myself, but my lovely friend, Gabriella offered to make one for me and send it my way.  Gabriella is the owner/designer of La Luna Flower Crowns.  The one I'm wearing here is the Lydia crown.  Isn't it beautiful?!  And it goes with just about everything.  Gabriella also takes custom orders, so if you don't see what your little heart desires in her shop, just email her and she can work with you on creating something amazing.

Fourth of July

Hope everyone had a fabulous and safe time celebrating Miss 'Merica's birthday!  Here's a quick doodle of a myself in a dress I recently made.  Seemed fitting for the occasion. ;)  I'll be posting an actual photo of myself in it soon!  To see more of my doodles, follow me on instagram!

Swingin'

I've been into swing dresses as of late.  They are oh so easy to wear and perfect for summer.  I got this one from one last week (currently on sale) and I'm tempted to get it's dark-colored counterpart.  While I love it, my only complaint is the fiber content.  Synthetic fibers are no fun in the hot Lahaina sun.  I'm also lovin' my new heels from and flats, too.  I did a quick switch out to transition the look from day to night (and the look just photographers so much better with heels! lol).  Hope you're enjoying the rest of your weekend!  Chat soon. :)

Pumps and cut-offs

For the past couple of months, I've been drawn to more sleek shoe silhouettes.  I've also added quite a few pairs of pumps to my shoedrobe.  I love the look of a pointy toe heel.  It elongates my vertically challenged frame.  I also think a great heel makes any look, even cut-offs, have a more polished feel.  Don't get me wrong, I'm still a Lita girl at heart. :)

Olive + Piper sent me this pretty lioness bangle.  I love the fiery red color and it's so perfectly me.  I'm a Leo, if you didn't know.  :)  Check out Olive + Piper for other amazing baubles.  And I also received this sweet delicately hand stamped necklace from  Amy of Junghwa by Amy Stewart.  She handcrafts these necklaces (and other pretties!) herself.

Enjoy soaking up the rest of the weekend!

Boy meets Girl

Summer has officially begun!  The Pirate and I went out for celebratory drinks and sushi to welcome the new season.  One of my favorite looks is the classic tee and jeans combo.  And of course, what better way to welcome summer than with something white!  Enter these white whip-stitched stilettos.  I'm a lucky girl with great friends who support my shoe habit.  Thanks, Hana!  She sent me these awesome Aldo Rise Weatherbee heels.  Sure, they're from a few seasons, but they are still amazing!  Also wearing this rad tee from Flamboyant Dynasty.  Thanks Nelson!

Here's to an epic summer!

Catitude

Hi guys!  How's your summer going?  I hope you're enjoying it thoroughly.  Although, it's been sweltering hot here in paradise, there are times that I feel like throwing on a pair of boyfriend jeans and comfy sweater.  It's such an easy pairing, you can't go wrong.  I like finishing the look with a great pair of heels, for a more polished look.  The awesome peeps over at Swaychic sent over this rad cat sweater.  Don't you adore it?  I surely do. If you didn't know, I'm a huge fan of the feline posse.  I love the crop-ish length of the sweater and it's pretty lightweight, so it's purr-fect for those cool summer nights.  Stop by the Swaychic website when you get a chance.  They have tons of super cute and affordable pieces.  I'm totally crushing on their whole skater dress selection.  I definitely need to add a few of them to my summer wardrobe.

Again, thanks to everyone who entered my YuniKelley Designs giveaway.  Thanks Julie for partnering up with me.  So, without further ado, the winner is, Lisa!  Congrats, girl.  I'll be contacting you in a bit.  :)

WhiteOut

I'm sure you've seen this skort all over the blogosphere.  I remember getting it months ago (before the black, red, and blue versions came out) and while I love the idea of a skort, the thought of actually wearing a white one, freaked me out.  I'm that girl who spills everything on herself.  Everything.  I let the skort hibernate in the back of my closet for some time, but after seeing it for the millionth time, and on one of my favorite bloggy friends, I knew I had to muster up the courage and finally wear this beaut out.  I can't take credit for this pairing, though.  I owe it all to Tiff (check her version out here).  And of course what better way complete the look with more white!!  White bag, check.  White shoes, check.

Oh, and I didn't forget... I'll be announcing the winner to my YuniKelley Designs giveaway soon.  Thanks to everyone who entered! :)

Mirrors

Hey guys!  Have you had a chance to enter my giveaway yet?  If you haven't, check out the post below.

I've been drawn to pieces that have the mirrored-effect, so when I saw this shift dress pop up on Bamboo Sky's instagram, I knew I had to have it.  Due to it's obvious popularity, the dress sold out much quicker than I expected.  Boo hoo.  But with Tiff lookin' out for me (thanks girl!), she let me know right away when they restocked!  And well, the rest is history!

Happy Monday, loves.  Here's hoping the week goes by quickly.

Summer Uniform

Now, with summer break in full swing, I finally found some time to sew something for myself.  This little frock is very summer appropriate.  The easy breezy silhouette and low back, will surely help me beat the summer heat.  I can't wait to sew a few more, because this will easily be my summer uniform.  Hope you guys have a great 3 day weekend!  Be safe... and you should stop by soon, because I have a FABULOUS giveaway in store!  Y'all come back now, y'hear!  Chat soon, lovers.

Messy hair, don't care.

The heat has been out of control lately, but thankfully today there was a breeze.  I tried to take advantage of the wind and whip my hair back and forth, but that was a total fail.  As much as I want to be that girl with the "just-got-out-of-bed-and-had-no-time-to-do-my-hair-but-that's-ok-because-my-hair-still-looks-amaze", I'm not. My hair style needs a good blow dry and a swipe of the flat iron.

A definite must for my summer arsenal is this number I scooped up from Homecoming.  I love it so much, because it's light and easy to wear.  At first glance it looks like a dress, but it totally psychs you out and is a super rad R O M P E R! with pockets, too.  ::dies::  Lately, I've been into super minimalist jewelry.  The designer and creator of forternal, Jade, sent me a couple of her beautiful heart rings.  They are so amazing and I wear at least one of them every single day.  You gotta get one of your very own!  Trust me, you're gonna love it. :)

Wonderland Honolulu

When I visited Oahu a couple of weeks ago, I had to make sure to stop into one of my favorite shops, Homecoming.  Shop owner, Emilie is definitely a woman who's got mad style and her shop is proof of it.  I love that she's willing to push the boundaries of fashion and bring something fresh to Hawaii.  Seriously, if you are ever on Oahu, this shop is a definite must-do.  She stocks tons of amazing brands, like Mink Pink, Chaser, Unif, and hello, my fave, Jeffrey Campbell! and even local designers, like Wonderland Honolulu.  The woman behind Wonderland Honolulu, Jess, creates incredibly amazing pieces, that go hand-in-hand with the island life, without sacrificing style.  Known for her body hugging knit tops and dresses (in freakin' rad prints!), she also creates flowy chiffon pieces that are ever so perfect for frolicking under the Hawaiian sun.  Ever since receiving this tribal print kimono cardi (thanks Jess and Emilie!), I have not taken it off.  It's just so easy to wear and can liven up any ol' outfit.  It'll surely be one of my go-to's for my summer wardrobe.

Saturday Steez

Although the weather forecast said it was only 82 degrees today, it felt like it was a scorching 90! Summer is fast approaching and you can sure bet I'll be living in tanks, tees, shorts, and summer dresses.  This tank that the Pirate got me from Bamboo Sky, is pretty much one of the comfiest I own. The tropical print is pretty rad and whimsical, without being touristy. And because I just can't seem to let go of these jeans, I feel like I want to use them as much as possible before the summer heat forces them into hibernation.  My new jellies will probably be one of summer go-to's as well.  They are total twinsies with these Stuart Weitzman jellies, but without the designer price tag.  What will be your summer go-to's?

Warm tones

Everyone is slowly bidding summer adieu, whilst I'm here basking in the land of the perpetual summer.  Just because we don't have distinct seasons in Hawaii, doesn't mean I don't like to dress the part.  I mean, c'mon, I own several faux fur vests and coats!  It'll be a nice change of pace to wear more earthy tones and warm colors to bring in the new season.  SheInside sent over this lovely dress.  I love how the warm tones are offset by the coolness of teal stripe.  I also love the irregular hemline of the dress.  The movement of the dress while I walk surely makes me feel like a lady. :)   I revisited my Jeffrey Campbell shoe collection and decided that these babies needed some love.  These were the 2nd pair of JC's I bought... 3 years ago!

So loves, what are you looking forward to this fall?
