Drape

I've had this dress for almost two years now and it's still one of my faves.  I love the front drape of the dress, because it's figure flattering and conceals my imperfections.  It's been blustery here in the islands, so my trusty men's camouflage print shirt jacket has been my go-to to keep warm.  The Pirate also suggested that I throw it over this ensemble to down play and toughen up the feminine vibe of the look.  I can't say it enough, I'm super lucky to be married to a guy who loves fashion as much as I do.  Soak up the last few moments of the weekend and I'll see you lovelies in a bit... ciao!

Furry Feline

Taking decent outfit photos while in high wind territory is a near impossible feat, especially when you're rockin' a full fringe.  These photos took forever to capture and they were the "best" out of the bunch.  Oh the things fashion bloggers do for photos.  Haha.  If you've been following my blog for sometime now, you know I have a affinity for fur.  I love me a fun fur coat.  I got this jacket almost a year ago, and last weekend was the first time I wore it out.  I adore the cropped length.  A lot of people ask how I can wear a fur out here in paradise.  Believe it or not, this fur came in handy when we went to see the sunrise on Haleakala last Sunday morning.  The temperature dropped to the low 40's (high 30's)! CRAZY!  And the wind chill made it seem even colder.  It was worth it though, because the sunrise was spectacular, almost surreal, and definitely magical.  It's truly an experience all visitors (and locals) that come to Maui need to witness.

Gotta go, trying to finish up my Christmas shopping.  Hopefully, I can get it done in 4 days!

BIG

Sometimes bigger is better.  The Pirate scored me the Big Lita from Solestruck's annual Black Friday sale.  Aren't they so rad?  I was a tad skeptical about them at first.  All I could think about was toppling down a flight of stairs; stairs are my worse enemy.  I slipped these on, trotted around, and they were actually super easy to walk in.  Paired with my new leather pleated dress and a fur (both faux!), I felt unstoppable!  Currently, they're my new favorite shoes, but I don't dare say that too loud.  I'd hate for my other shoes to feel left out. ^_^.  I'm also in love with my new NYX Matte Lipstick (PERFECT RED) that I picked up from my local drugstore.  It's the perfect shade of red (with a blue undertone), a great matte finish, super affordable ($5 a tube) and long lasting power, too.  I would totally recommend it.  Happy Tuesday-ing, loves.

Cruisin' Together

Something that I've always wanted to do was to go on a cruise!  If I did go on a cruise, I would totally rock an amazing look like this.  I received this gorgeous Athena "Heavenly Halter" one piece from swimspot.    I really love this suit.  The halter style is great for anyone who's busty.  Since I'm curvy it's ideal that I accentuate the positive and disguise the flaws, and the shirring on this suit works wonders!  It has a built-in Slim-power* lining.  Wonders, I tell ya.  This is surely a suit that flatters and doesn't sacrifice style.  SwimSpot carries other awesome swim brands like, Ella Moss, Splendid, and Luxe.  Check out their new arrivals here.

Cat Dreams

My Cat Lita dreams came true the other day when I received these babies from Homecoming Honolulu!  Cats on my fave shoe, The Lita = amazeballs!  I mean, can it get any better?

The Pirate bought me this lush sweater the other day and had to wear it right away.  It'll easily become my favorite thing to wear for the season.  I love how the chiffon panel in the raglan sleeve continues entirely through to the back.  We actually found this sweater here on island, but you can also buy it here from Nordstrom.

I thought I'd give you guys a break from always seeing me in my beloved Rayban aviators and switch it up with these Prada wannabes that I received from oasap.  I love how they're chic and quirky at the same time.

And here is another great piece that I received from olive + piper.  Their sale is still going on, and at only $15 for this necklace, it's a total steal!

Black with a Pop

Still on a black on black kick, and because I love color, I couldn't resist adding this fluorescent top into the mix.  I'm thrilled that the weather is cooling down.  I was able to wear this blazer out without melting like the wicked witch of the west!  I love the contrasting white trim and I love how the back hem arches upward for an interesting surprise.  Talk about looking great coming and going.  Ha!  Also, still crushing hard on my JC Soiree's.  They go with everything!  Hope you lovelies had a great Monday.... now, if only Friday would hurry up and make an appearance.

Blackout

I'm no stranger to color, but the allure of a black on black ensemble is pretty hard to resist, especially when there are studs and (faux) leather involved.  Jovonna London sent over this amazing studded chiffon blouse the other month, but with temps and humidity levels rising, the thought of wearing something long-sleeved was the furthest thing from my mind.  I adore the studded details, but the peter pan collar won me over.  Luckily, the weather has simmered down and this rad blouse came out to play.  The blouse has since sold out, but Jovanna London carries other amazing pieces like the Cataria dress and the Genesis blouse.

I wanted to pair this blouse with something equally amazing, enter... another leather pleated skirt (another version seen here).  I love pleats!  As I've said in the past, I'm naturally drawn to feminine silhouettes with accents of edge.  This look truly nails my style aesthetic.  I couldn't resist injecting a pop of color with these Jeffrey Campbell platform heels that were gifted by the super sweet Asami of Pink Kitten.  Now, she's a girl with a very impressive JC collection.  I hope one day I can visit her to see her collection in real life!

Geeky Chic

I remember getting my first pair of eyeglasses when I was 15 years old. I was mortified that I had to wear eyeglasses.  It was hard to look "cool" in high school, while trotting around with four eyes.  Thank goodness for contacts!  To this day, it's rare that I ever wear my eyeglasses in public, but when I do, it's definitely an awesome pair.

I received these rad specs from Firmoo.  If you haven't heart of Firmoo, they're an awesome online retailer that offers stylish and affordable eyeglasses.  Vision along with a keen fashion sense is what Firmoo is all about.  They pride themselves in offering their customers with quality products, but at affordable prices.  Because, we all want to look stylish, without breaking the bank, right?  I really love these eyeglasses because of their over-sized style and the thick black rectangular frames compliment my round face, perfectly.  Currently, Firmoo is offering first time customers, a free pair of eyeglasses. For you lucky ones with perfect vision, you can even get a pair of non-prescription lenses.  Awesome, right!!?!  Visit Firmoo's free glasses program to get your very own pair. Wheee!!

Don't you love this kitty print sweater?  I was lusting over the Wildfox version, but the $300 + price tag was not appealing in the least.  The Pirate found this copycat (ha! yes, pun intended) on Romwe.  I was so excited when he surprised me with it!  Meow!!  Happy Weekending, guys!

Rad to the Bone

I made this lace dress over a year ago and have only recently worn it.  I don't know why I didn't wear it sooner.  I love it so much that I wore it twice in one week.  Yeah, I'm that girl! Ha!  This bone necklace was another piece that Tiff from Bamboo Sky sent me.  It's is so freakin' awesome.  Who knew that a gold bone could be so chic and so RAD!  Of course I had to add more radness to the look with these all over spiked Lita's.  Another pair from my hubby.  The Pirate seriously spoils me way too much.  He's not only my soulmate-y, but also my solemate. For life.  For realzzz.

Don't forget that you can save 10% off your Bamboo Sky purchase.  Just enter loveelisharon at check out. :)  You can thank me (and Tiff) later. Get shopping!

A Lace Soiree!

Lace and leather would probably be one of my favorite pairings.  The romance and femininity of lace and the edgy and masculine vibe of leather pretty much sums up my style aesthetic.  I'm drawn to girly silhouettes, but I love accenting them with tougher elements.

My beautiful blogger buddy, Tiff (also owner of the awesome Honolulu based boutique, Bamboo Sky) sent over this rad lace top.  I love the contrast of the chambray yoke, unexpected and super amaze.  I love it to pieces!  Naturally, I had to pair it with my leather-like pleated skirt, and my new Jeffrey Campbell babies, the Soiree.  The Pirate surprised me with them yesterday and I had to wear it right away!  Gorgeous, right?  Like I've said a million times before, he knows the way to my heart... tee hee.

If you guys haven't heard about Bamboo Sky, you don't know what you're missing.  I love supporting local boutiques, especially ones that carry such MAJOR things, like the Total Exposure clutch and the Rhinestone Chambray blouse.  Bamboo Sky is offering my beloved readers 10% off your purchase on Shop.Bamboosky.com.  Just enter loveelisharon at checkout. (Offer ends on Oct. 28th) Shop your little hearts out... and let me know what you guys get!!  And don't forget to tell all your friends about Bamboo Sky!!!  Sharing is Caring, right? :)

Soft pleats

What better way to offset this delicate blush colored soft pleated skirt than with a psychedelic tee from UNIF!?  Who can resist a unicorn tee, especially a horny one?!  Ha!  Did I ever tell you unicorns are my favorite animal, aside from cats?!  I'm so ready for the weekend, so I'll keep this short.  As promised, I (actually, the Pirate, via random.org) picked the winner for the Shopbop giveaway.  Congrats to Allie from Heels Eggs & Rice.  Woo hoo! Paws up!  Thanks to everyone that enter.  And thank you Shopbop!!  Alright off to finish up my Friday... and get ready to enjoy the weekend.

Btw, I have no clue why it looks like I'm grabbing my crotch in the last photo.  I swear, I'm not! >_<
