Pret-A-Partay

Hi guys!  How have you been?  I've been a busy bee, hence the lack of attention on this blog.  I going to find the time to blog more.  I promise!  If you want to keep up with what's going on with me, don't forget to follow me on Instagram: @elisharon. :)  Btw, to my U.S. readers, how was your Thanksgiving?  I hope you enjoyed and got your fill of turkey and pies! Oh! and anyone braving the crowded stores today?  If so, what did you score?

Here's an outfit from last week.  I can't seem to find my camera, so you'll have to pardon these iPhone pics. >_<

Paisley

Do you ever feel like you have absolutely nothing to wear?  Don't get me wrong, my closet overfloweth, but there are mornings where I feel like it is impossible to get dressed and feel good about it.  On those days, I normally opt for my fail-safe combo;  a t-shirt, preferably with a cool design or print (or there have been times I'll steal one out of the hubby's closet), skinnies, and heels.  Luckily, I didn't come across the nothing-to-wear dilemma when putting together this look.  I received this tee from CHOIES the other day and had to wear it right away.  I love the dope bandana print.  And of course to keep it a little more me, I injected a bit of color with these plum skinnies and finished the ensemble off with my trusty patent wedges.  Check out CHOIES for tons of amazing pieces.  I'm totally lusting for these cut-out boots.

C É L F I E

Hi Guys!  I have not abandoned my blog.  I've just been so busy.  I can't believe I didn't blog for the whole month of September.  My apologies.  :/  I promise to be a better blog.

These pics were from brunch yesterday.  Who says you can't wear white after Labor Day?!  When you live in the land of the Eternal Summer, you can surely wear white whenever you please. :)  I love this tee from Sincerely Jules.  The quality is superb and I'm all about supporting one of my favorite bloggers and the fact that they are made in the US is an extra bonus.  I'll keep it short and sweet. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!! Chat soon, lovelies.

Cardigans & Boyfriends

Strolling down by the harbor with the Pirate, while watching the sun go down, was the perfect way to spend my Tuesday afternoon.  It was surprisingly cool enough to wear my new jacquard-knit cardigan.  And yes, a pair of jeans, too.  I love how comfy these pair are.  Boyfriend jeans are the best.  Clearly, I am anxiously awaiting fall's arrival.  Summer, I love you, but I'm ready for some cooler weather.

You guys have one more day to enter H&M's 50 States of Fashion Instagram Contest!  It's been so awesome seeing all the different entries from all across the nation.  USA got style for sure. :)  Remember you can now shop on HM.com and follow H&M on their facebook and instagram to keep up with all the latest fall fashions.

Feline fine

My style is always changing and evolving, but one thing that remains constant is my love for all thing quirky.  I'm a sucker for cutesy prints, but try to make them "age appropriate".  Ha!  When I saw this dress on hm.com, I immediately fell in love.  I love layering a chambray shirt in lieu of an actual jacket, since fall in Hawaii is still pretty warm.  With a pair of ankle booties and minimal accessories, this look is purr-fect for a pre-fall lunch/dinner & movie date.  Shop all these looks on H&M's website!  And there's is still a few more days to enter H&M's Instagram Contest!  Hash tag your looks #hmshoponlinehi (or change the last two letters to the state your reppin'.).  Hurry go enter!!

BIG

Sometimes bigger is better.  The Pirate scored me the Big Lita from Solestruck's annual Black Friday sale.  Aren't they so rad?  I was a tad skeptical about them at first.  All I could think about was toppling down a flight of stairs; stairs are my worse enemy.  I slipped these on, trotted around, and they were actually super easy to walk in.  Paired with my new leather pleated dress and a fur (both faux!), I felt unstoppable!  Currently, they're my new favorite shoes, but I don't dare say that too loud.  I'd hate for my other shoes to feel left out. ^_^.  I'm also in love with my new NYX Matte Lipstick (PERFECT RED) that I picked up from my local drugstore.  It's the perfect shade of red (with a blue undertone), a great matte finish, super affordable ($5 a tube) and long lasting power, too.  I would totally recommend it.  Happy Tuesday-ing, loves.

Daytime sparkles

Who says sequins are only appropriate for night time affairs?! Not, I.  Sequins is great for any and every occasion.  I wore this today to work.  The faux fur jacket was a great idea for the office, where temps get to near freezing!, but it was definitely not appropriate for these outdoor photos.  Let me tell ya', I was sporting a sweatstache in between snaps.  It was not a pretty sight!  Don't you just love this location where I shot my photos?  It's the Banyan Tree in Lahaina town.  It's one of the largest banyan trees in the US and this year it celebrated it's 139th birthday.  Amazing!

I recently discovered olive + piper.  They offer amazing and affordable costume jewelry.  I especially love that they carry statement pieces like the Neon Statement Necklace.  You'll surely get noticed while rocking that piece.  It's on sale right now (along with a lot of other great pieces) through Monday, so you should totally snag one before it's gone.  It would be perfect for a holiday party, night out with your guy or girlfriends, or paired with a white tee, jeans, and ballet flat combo for a day of running errands.  The lovely Tania sent me these bracelets.  Isn't the heart bangle adorable?  And who doesn't love a great spike bracelet!? The quality of these pieces are top notch, and I love that they have good weight to them.  Definitely not your flimsy-fall-apart-after-one-use piece of costume jewelry.  I also love that they don't turn my skin green!  Surely, these pieces will get tons of use!

Me and my boo, rockin' his UNIF Hellraisers. solemates. ;)

Pumpkin

It's almost that time of year when we pull out the stretchy pants and lavish in a bountiful meal of thanks!  Oh, how excited I am this year!!  I have Thanksgiving day off and I get to spend it with my Sister.  Double Yays! :)  My mouth is watering for my mother in law's pumpkin roll and hopefully my other sister (who, I hope will read this before Thanksgiving day) will make a pumpkin cheesecake!

Speaking of pumpkins, I've fallen in love with orange-y lippies all over again.  This one I'm wearing is called Siren by Revlon.  I love the creamy finish.  As for my look, it sorta just came together on a whim.  I really wanted to wear this fabulous tulle and lace dress by Free People, but I wanted it to be more "day-time appropriate," so I threw on a button down, knotted it at the waist, slipped into some cowboy-esque booties, and I was ready to go.  I kept my jewelry simple with two of my fave necklaces as of late.  I made this gold wishbone necklace a while back, and the name necklace was given to me from my girl, Tiffheartfashion.  They would make perfect Christmas gift or stocking-stuffers.  Get yourself and a friend one, here.

Don't forget to enter my shopbop giveaway!

Black with a Pop

Still on a black on black kick, and because I love color, I couldn't resist adding this fluorescent top into the mix.  I'm thrilled that the weather is cooling down.  I was able to wear this blazer out without melting like the wicked witch of the west!  I love the contrasting white trim and I love how the back hem arches upward for an interesting surprise.  Talk about looking great coming and going.  Ha!  Also, still crushing hard on my JC Soiree's.  They go with everything!  Hope you lovelies had a great Monday.... now, if only Friday would hurry up and make an appearance.

Blackout

I'm no stranger to color, but the allure of a black on black ensemble is pretty hard to resist, especially when there are studs and (faux) leather involved.  Jovonna London sent over this amazing studded chiffon blouse the other month, but with temps and humidity levels rising, the thought of wearing something long-sleeved was the furthest thing from my mind.  I adore the studded details, but the peter pan collar won me over.  Luckily, the weather has simmered down and this rad blouse came out to play.  The blouse has since sold out, but Jovanna London carries other amazing pieces like the Cataria dress and the Genesis blouse.

I wanted to pair this blouse with something equally amazing, enter... another leather pleated skirt (another version seen here).  I love pleats!  As I've said in the past, I'm naturally drawn to feminine silhouettes with accents of edge.  This look truly nails my style aesthetic.  I couldn't resist injecting a pop of color with these Jeffrey Campbell platform heels that were gifted by the super sweet Asami of Pink Kitten.  Now, she's a girl with a very impressive JC collection.  I hope one day I can visit her to see her collection in real life!

Golden

As a teen, the color gold never really appealed to me.  When picking out jewelry, silver was always the victor. Over the years, my love for gold has surely grown.  When looking at my jewelry collection most things are gold and even other accessories, like my handbags, have gold hardware.  The other week I saw this micro pleated gold mini, hanging on the rack by it's lonesome self and just my luck, it was my size.  I love that there are hidden pockets and an elastic waistband (perfect for the upcoming holidays, hahaha!) for ease and comfort.  I just wished I could have captured the true gold hue of the skirt.  Perhaps, another time.

It's beginning to feel a little bit like fall, here in Hawaii.  Well, at least what we locals consider "fall".  haha.  I love fall because, we get to buss out the booties.  These cognac booties are a great staple and every girl should own a pair.  They go with just about anything and the low heel is great to strut around in all day long. The tassel detail is a great touch.  If you want to get yourself a pair, visit, my hot shoes.  And don't forget, you can save 20% off your purchase by entering: sharon at check out.  :)

Geeky Chic

I remember getting my first pair of eyeglasses when I was 15 years old. I was mortified that I had to wear eyeglasses.  It was hard to look "cool" in high school, while trotting around with four eyes.  Thank goodness for contacts!  To this day, it's rare that I ever wear my eyeglasses in public, but when I do, it's definitely an awesome pair.

I received these rad specs from Firmoo.  If you haven't heart of Firmoo, they're an awesome online retailer that offers stylish and affordable eyeglasses.  Vision along with a keen fashion sense is what Firmoo is all about.  They pride themselves in offering their customers with quality products, but at affordable prices.  Because, we all want to look stylish, without breaking the bank, right?  I really love these eyeglasses because of their over-sized style and the thick black rectangular frames compliment my round face, perfectly.  Currently, Firmoo is offering first time customers, a free pair of eyeglasses. For you lucky ones with perfect vision, you can even get a pair of non-prescription lenses.  Awesome, right!!?!  Visit Firmoo's free glasses program to get your very own pair. Wheee!!

Don't you love this kitty print sweater?  I was lusting over the Wildfox version, but the $300 + price tag was not appealing in the least.  The Pirate found this copycat (ha! yes, pun intended) on Romwe.  I was so excited when he surprised me with it!  Meow!!  Happy Weekending, guys!

October Lookbook

I thought September flew by fast, but October traveled at the speed of light!  This past month's sartorial adventures showcased my love for polka dots, lace, leather, and chiffon.  And of course I had to throw in a couple diy'd pieces for good measure. :)

Hope you all had a spooktacular Halloween.  What did you dress up as?  If you want to see what I whipped up at the very last minute, check out my instagram. ;) (@elisharon).
