Checkmate

After years of long locks, I finally decided to take the plunge and chop it all off.  Alright, not all of it, but I did manage to say farewell to 12" of  hair, with the exception of my bangs.  I'll never tire of my full fringe, it's my signature look. I feel fresh, renewed, and updated.

See this dress here?  I made it months ago, and it was inspired by the Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 RTW collection. It's a great little number that can be dressed up or down.  I prefer pairing it with sneaks for a more sporty feel. And don't you just love the seamless pocket?  I'm in love. One thing I would change though, would be the fabric choice; poly satin does not mix well with tropical weather.  Sigh.

Happy May!

W.O.W.  I can't believe it's been a month since my last entry.  Slacker is totes my middle name.  Eeps!  I promise that this summer my blog will be popping with tons of my sartorial adventures.  Get ready, I'll redeem myself and revive the blog.  The time spent away from my beloved blog has been filled with work, school, tons of sewing!!, fashion shows, side orders, and an Oahu trip. Yes, I just got back, and boy, did I have a blast!

I got to meet up with my bestie boo, Mae, got our grub on and had so much fun talking and laughing, we forgot to take a photo together. :(.  Visited my other boo, Emilie and shopped at her rad shop, Homecoming.  Got to meet Emilie's shopgirls, the super amazing, bubbly, and gawgus, Gabriela and the cute patootie, Raella.  AND I finally met up, in real life!, the supah gorgeous Tiff and of course shopped and celebrated 7 years of amazingness in her shop, Bamboo Sky.  Happy to have seen the beautiful, Adele, too, even if it was for a short time.  Oh and I even met the lovely, Salem.  She totes knows how to work the runway!  On top of meeting all these fabulous beauts, I even got spotted at the HCC Fashion Show by a couple of my readers.  It's was surreal, humbling, and flattering.  Thanks so much for supporting me and my little ol' blog!  :)

Well, I'd love to share with you guys a small collection that The Pirate and I worked on (in four days, mind you) for our college's (UHMC) Fashion Technology fashion show.  We played with longer lengths, layered pieces, and one of our favorite trends, print mixing.  Enjoy...

Love, S
