No "Aloha"

I'm not a big fan of football, or any other sport for that matter (maybe shopping will become a sport one day!), so I had no interest in watching the game today.  I did tune in for the half time show and Madonna's performance was stellar.  She still got the moves.  What did you guys think?

Yesterday, the Pirate and I ventured to the south side of the island; Kihei/Wailea.  I really wanted to check out the Shops at Wailea, since I haven't been there in such a long time.  First stop was BCBG.  Let me tell you, the SA's there, had zero understanding of what the "Aloha Spirit" means and customer service is.  I was discouraged as soon as we walked in.  None of them (there were four!) greeted us, yet they greeted every other person (tourists) that came in after us.  I mean, seriously, a simple Hello would have sufficed.  There was one snarky SA in particular, that I would have liked to give my two cents too, but it wasn't worth my time and energy. Eventually, one SA offered her assistance and was quite "pleasant" in comparison to the rest.  Not sure if I'll be returning there anytime soon.  The other places that we visited (Betsey Johnson, Banana Republic, Gap, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Karamel, and Louis Vuitton) had exceptional customer service.  Thank God! :)

Have you ever experienced poor customer service while shopping?  If so, where? And did you do anything about it?

Boy-spiration

There's something about dressing like a boy that makes me feel more like a girl.  The Pirate was surprised when I pulled this look together this morning.  He even commented that my jeans were looser than the pair he had on. LOL!!  You can hardly tell in these photos, that they are loose-fitting-boyfriend-jeans, but they are.  They're so loose that I can slip them on and off without unbuttoning them. Probably one of the most comfiest pairings I've worn in a long time.  I was also impressed with this shirt I picked up from Old Navy last weekend.  All the stripes actually match at all the seams.  Quite impressive, coming from a company that produces for the masses.  And don't you just love my fluorescent Cambridge satchel?!  It makes me smile every time I use it.

It ain't easy being green

I've been coveting the perfect satchel for sometime now, so when I came across the Cambridge Satchel Company, I knew I found the one!  The bag's sleek and classic design will never go out of style.  I was so excited when the fabulous team at the Cambridge Satchel Co. offered to send me my very own bag.  To say I was thrilled is an understatement.  I was literally jumping for joy.

When I received the package in the mail (the shipping was super duper fast.. only 2 days, all the way from the Great Britain!), I ripped it open to reveal the most gorgeous bag I've seen in a long time.  The color was so striking, that I had to readjust my eyes.  I actually got to choose what color I wanted, and while I could have been safe and gone with chestnut or black, I chose one from their Fluorescent Line.  Fluorescent green, to be exact.  I'm extremely happy with my choice. I've worn it several times already and have received tons of compliments.  This color is definitely not for the faint of heart, but then again, I'm a girl who loves to stand out.  Blending in is not an option for me.  :)  I love the adjustable strap and while the bag may look like it doesn't hold a lot, it actually does.  This 13" satchel holds everything I need on a daily basis, along with a few extras.

Thank you again, Lottie & the rest of the Cambridge Satchel Co., for your generosity.  This bag will be heavily worn throughout the summer... and I'm also excited to wear it back to school in the fall.  Mahalo from Maui!!!

Grrrr. I need a pedicure.. yikes! :P
