THREE, ♥♥♥ it's definitely one of my favorite numbers. Today, Eli and I celebrated 3 years of marriage!! Time surely does fly when you're spending it with someone who is so amazing and makes life that much more thrilling! We just got back from our Oahu trip, so we didn't really have time to "celebrate" today, but I don't need a fancy dinner or an expensive gift to know that what we've got together is something special. :) He truly is my soul matey, my best friend, my Pirate!! I'm excited to see what the future has in store for us. It can only get better! I love you, boo. It's you and me, forever. ELISHARON for LIFE!

♥E·le·ven ... um I mean 12!
update: A funny thing happened... I was just on FB and saw a pop up of what I wrote on my wall one year ago... last year Eli and I celebrated our 11th togetherversary... which would make this year 12! LOLs. I guess when you're so in love, you lose track of time. Happy 12th, hubs.
1211 years ago today, the Pirate asked me to be his girlfriend. I remember that day like it was yesterday. Happy 11 year togetherversary, Elisha. Thank you for loving me even when I act like a crazy fool and thank you for making life so much fun. Here's to the next 12 11 years, and 12 11 years after that, and 12 11 years after that, and 12 11 years after that... well, you get it. Stuck with me for life. I love you, bu.

YOU'RE SO BEEFY
Thank you lovelies for all the anniversary wishes. The Pirate and I truly appreciate all your kind words.
We continued our celebration with a delectable dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House. I'm not a huge fan of steak (or beef), but I've always wanted to eat at this restaurant. I'm so glad we went. The steak (I had a 16oz rib eye, like Whoa!) was INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS! Every bite was mouthwatering. I could only eat half, but the left overs were even fabulous the next day. The prices are a bit steep, but totally worth it.
After enjoying this meal, I thought back to the time when I used to looove beef! Then in 2001, I swore off beef for nearly two years. It was for personal reasons, but at that time I felt like I was at my healthiest (inside and out). I guess the 4 - 5 days a week visits to the gym contributed to that as well. Beef slowly trickled back into my life and I have stints where I refuse to eat it, but after eating at Ruth's Chris, I might have to have a good piece of steak every now and then. Moderation is key, right? Oh and if you're wondering what the Pirate got, he got chicken. He always gets chicken. :D
Are you a beef eater? If so, what's your favorite cut? Preparation?

CHEERS TO TWO YEARS!
Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary to the love of my life!
The Pirate and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary today! Time sure flies when you're in love. We've been together for nearly 12 years and everyday with my bu is a fun adventure. Today, he took me on an adventure to the Surfing Goat Dairy farm in lower Kula. We had such a fun day there, visiting the gorgeous property, seeing baby goats, sampling delicious cheeses, and even hand feeding the most precious goats in the world! They were so gentle. It took me a few moments to "build up the courage" to let them eat from my palm, but when I finally relaxed (yes, I know I'm a drama queen!), they really were very gentle. I sorta want a pet goat now, but I couldn't just have one... I would need at least two. Did you know goats are very social animals, and very rarely will you ever see a goat by it's lonesome. I guess they're just like me and the Pirate, stuck to each other for life. :) Yeah Yeah, I'm so cheesey.
Speaking of cheese... the goat cheese the farm produces is out of this world! We got to sample quite a few cheeses and it was so hard to pick which ones to bring home. They produce over 30 different types of cheese. I was in fromage heaven! We ended up bringing home the Rolling Green (fresh garlic and chives), Ole! (jalapenos, artichokes, cilantro, lime juice), and Ping Pong balls (fresh Chevre in oil). The cheese here is so awesome that it was even served at President Obama's inauguration dinners.
After the goat farm, we frolicked around in the little town of Paia. I love Paia. It's so eclectic and some even say it's "granola"... but I love that place. Lots of yummy eateries and quaint boutiques. There's even a sign that says "Welcome to Paia, please do not feed the hippies". :) Cuuute. I definitely had a great day with my Pirate. I know more adventures lie ahead for us... and maybe in 9 months... ha ha ha kidding! Love you Honey. ELISHARON for life.

There were random "parking signs" and saw this one... Isn't it funny? I just had to take a picture with it. :)

Happy 11th Together-versary!
Yesterday the Pirate and I celebrated 11 years of "togetherness". We've known each other for more than half our lives. Look at this pic I dug up from our 8th grade banquet. We danced the last song of the night together.
Then on September 4th 1999, we decided to become a real couple. We went to our senior ball together. Look at my crazy hair and that skin tight dress! I still have that dress and there is no way it fits. hee hee.
In 2008 we got engaged. :)
And in March of 2009 we tied the knot!
We're definitely having a great journey together and we're looking forward to sharing more memories. Happy Togetherversary my Pirate Eli. On the sea of love you are my soul-matey. :) for life.
Love, S
*Isn't it funny that in all these photos, we're either in white or black or white and black? :)

Happy ONE to Us
We celebrated our ONE year wedding anniversary this past Sunday, 3.21.10. That was the day we came back from Oahu and we were supposed to go out to dinner, but I had such a terrible headache. I popped two tylenols and crashed. My hubby was sweet enough to let me sleep it off, but when I got up it was already 10:30pm!! So, to make up for that night we went to dinner last night at Merriman's in Kapalua. It was our first time dining there. The food and ambience was amazing! It's right near the ocean and since we had 7:30 dinner reservations we missed the sunsent, but we did enjoy the sound of the waves crashing. :) We had a beautiful night together.
Happy ONE year honey! I love you and can't wait to share many more years with you!
*Don't you just love Hubby's shirt!?*
*Cosmo + Dirrrty Martinis = YUM*
*Watermelon and Feta Salad*
*Baked Soft Surfing Goat Cheese in Phyllo*
*Pan Roasted Diver Sea Scallops with Buttered Lobster*
*Crusted Lamb with Pesto Parm*
The desserts there were drool worthy, but we decided to wait to eat our wedding cake at home. However our friend who works at the restaurant surprised us with this yummy concoction!
*Coconut Creme Malasada's with Caramel Coffee dipping sauce*
Happy ONE year to Us!

*I loved pairing the girly shiny-ness of this dress with an edgy bootie*
My mom and dad got us our wedding cake from Broke Da Mouth bakery! Yummy guava chiffon with lilikoi creme. Mmmm. Thanks mom and dad!! I also took out our cake knife set and dessert plates that we used on our wedding day. :)
This past year with Eli has been an amazing year. We've been only married for one, but we've shared more than a decade or love and firendship with eachother. I'm so fortunate to have such a loving and PATIENT husband. He's the most understanding and thoughful man I know. I'm lucky to have him... and he's lucky to have me too! He's my soulmate for reals.. and for life!
Love, S
