Skull Love

I love a fun graphic print tee, or in this case, this dope skull bone racer back tank from Alainn Bella .  It's such an easy piece to throw on and go.  I decided to add this sheer button down to add some layers, since we're still experiencing some "chilly" weather.  Alainn Bella just stocked some really cute pieces for spring and summer!  I'm really lovin' the Shark Mouth tank, Maggie Aztec dress, and the Neon plaid skirt.  Hop on over to their site to check out all the fun new arrivals!  Get shopping! Enter promo code "ELISHARON" at check to save 15% off your entire purchase.  Again, you can thank me later... preferably with macarons! ;)

Summer Uniform

Now, with summer break in full swing, I finally found some time to sew something for myself.  This little frock is very summer appropriate.  The easy breezy silhouette and low back, will surely help me beat the summer heat.  I can't wait to sew a few more, because this will easily be my summer uniform.  Hope you guys have a great 3 day weekend!  Be safe... and you should stop by soon, because I have a FABULOUS giveaway in store!  Y'all come back now, y'hear!  Chat soon, lovers.

Tripping on Acid

Ever since acquiring these black acid wash jeans, I've been wearing them non-stop.  Yeah, I even wore them three days in a row.  Don't judge. :) I've worn them with just about every top imaginable, but my fave would have to be an over sized top.  This asymmetrical draped top added much needed softness to the toughness of the jeans, an what better way to accessorize than with a wrist full of bling!?!

The lovely Julie, owner and designer of YuniKelley Designs sent over this gorgeous gold crystal pave link bracelet.  Isn't it amazing?  Since it's already such an incredibly shiny piece, I thought, why not more shine?  Enter, more bling!  Yup, you know, I love the "more is more" style philosophy.  If you want to get your own bracelet, visit Julie's shop and don't forget to enter elisharon at check out to save 20% off your purchase.  Thanks Julie for giving me such a rad bracelet to add to my jewelry arsenal.  :)

Ooo! And don't you just love these heels?  It's one of the four the Pirate gave to me for our 4th year anniversary.  Seriously, he spoils me.  I'm a lucky gal, indeedy.

Spring Fling

Spring is in the air.... well, sorta.  The weather in paradise has been a bit drab lately.  The sunny skies have gone into hibernation and the past week has been filled with gray skies and sprinkles.  I couldn't ask for a better reason to bring out my Matisse Floral Blazer that Sugarlips Apparel sent over.  I really love this blazer.  The pastel hue with pops of neon colors and the drape collar is amazing.  Definitely, the perfect way to greet the Spring season.  I continued the drape effect by layering the blazer over this creamy little number.  I finished the look by throwing on my new Lita doppelgangers courtesy of My Hot Shoes.  If you're looking for an inexpensive look-a-like of the shoe everyone loves to hate (except, I actually LOVE them), then these babies are your answer.

I'm really excited to wear tons of bright colors and floral prints this season.  I'm still working on trying to compile some pieces that will help me achieve an all white (or cream) look. Although, I'm a fan of colors, I've been obsessing over and all white look.  This is the closest I've come, so far.  What are you excited for this Spring?

Vertical

I wore this to The Pirate's surprise birthday party over the weekend.  We had such an amazing time celebrating with family and friends.  I've eaten enough birthday cake to last me a lifetime, or at least until my birthday.  Ha!  I don't really have much to say today, so I'll leave you with the following... enjoy and hope you lovelies had an awesome First Day of Spring!!!

A few snippets from Eli's surprise birthday soiree!  We love us some cocktails.  I even made fun little alcoholic favors for guests to take home.

Print Mixing

I wore this to work, yesterday.  I made this tweed jacket last year and it finally made its debut.  Let me tell you, I'm so thankful for an air conditioned office, because with the temperatures rising, there is no way I could wear this jacket outside.  You can't really tell in the photos, but the jacket has a peter pan collar and over sized covered buttons.  Because I didn't line it, it's on the itchy side, but there is the fun surprise element of the electric orange binding on the inside.  Cute and unexpected, right?

Well, I hope you lovelies have a great Memorial day weekend.  Have fun and be safe!  And of course, Happy Aloha Friday.  Oh and guess what!?!  It's my grandma's birthday today. She's 88 years young!  So cool!

Pretty Peplum

I've been drooling over this peplum top from J.Crew since it debuted on the site.  It's so pretty, but its hefty $350 price tag isn't. :(  It's now on sale for $119, but I'm still reluctant to actually purchase it.  I did find some floral fabric and since I've have some free time right now, I'll probably just make something similar to it.  The blue and green hues of the J.Crew peplum top did inspire the following look.

Hope you all have a Happy Hump Day! :)

Glad in Plaid

Weekends are the best, until Monday creeps up on you.  Was your weekend fun-filled?

I've been craving plaid shirts lately and over the weekend I acquired two new ones.  Old Navy stocks pretty comfy plaid shirts.  They're light weight and airy enough to beat the heat, and also provides great coverage so that you don't need to wear a cami underneath.  At only $24 a pop, I wish I bought each color.  What are your sartorial cravings as of late?

In Bloom

One of my blogger besties, Jen of her waise choice recently blogged about her go-to silhouette.  I love a girl who loves a high-waist (a-line) skirt and fitted blouse combo.  Jen wears this silhouette so perfectly.  The proportions always look so flattering on her.  What can I say, she's a girl with impeccable style!  I'd love to raid her closet, but first I'd have to lose a bajillion lb's.

I too, adore a high-waist skirt and I think it suits my body type quite nicely.  Some may think full circle skirt would only accentuate your curves, but when you find the perfect one, it can do wonders to your shape!   I opted to put together this gorgeous rosette skirt with a looser fitting blouse, and I'm totally happy with the pairing. :)  Btw, did you notice my locks?  I cut off close to 10".  What a load off.  Literally!  Hope you all are having a great week, so far!

Don't you love this ribbon & pearl bracelet?  The lovely Carolina gifted it to me (thanks, love!).  She recently opened up an Etsy shop, L♥VECOCO so check it out and you can get one of these gorgeous bracelets for yourself.

Black Roses

♫Whatever happen to my garden of black roses....♫  What a throwback to the early 90's. Whenever I hear this song, I think of my Sister (when she was in high school) and her friend's blasting the Inner Circle tune while hanging out in her bedroom.  I would annoyingly knock at her door, begging her to let me come in, to hang out.  Of course, she never would.  Yes, I was that annoying little sister that wanted to do/be/copy everything her older sister did.  In a lot of ways, I'm still the little sister that's wants to be just like her.  She's an amazing woman who's accomplished amazing things and who I admire so much. :)

On a sartorial note, isn't this outfit in full bloom?!  Perhaps there is a little too much going on, but I think that's what I love most about it.  Floral explosion!  I was eyeing these J. Brand floral skinnies and also these, but I couldn't justify dropping a nice chunk of change on such a trendy piece.  Then one day while browsing in a local boutique I saw these floral skinnies.  They were the last one and in my size, plus they were such a steal, so I had to get them.  I'm super glad I did.  These babies will definitely be in heavy rotation... or at least until the heat can no longer be beat.  What pieces are you currently swooning for?
