Leather peplum

Months ago when I spotted this H&M leather peplum top, I was instantly smitten.  Since we don't have H&M stores here in Hawaii, I knew what had to be done... I had to make one myself.  I put it off for months, but last night the sewing bug pinched me hard and after a few hours, my leather peplum top was born.  This version is faux leather, but I'm hoping to make one with real leather, too.  Did you guys see this embroidered faux leather number from Zara?  So amaze.  I hope you guys aren't getting too bored with my peplum fascination.  Haha.

I also picked up these flats from Nordstrom Rack.  I normally have to be in the mood to go through the racks and shelves at The Rack, but sometimes the rummaging pays off.  Scored these babies on super sale and also a few other goodies.  Do you guys like bargain hunting / shopping at places like Nordstrom Rack?  What's the best find you've ever walked away with?

That top is AMAZING Sharon! OMG! I need to ask my grandma to whip me up one of those! :) Nordstrom Rack? I LOVE the place. But you're right - you totally have to be in the mood. I've found tons of goodies there in my lifetime. It's a great way to waste/spend 3 hrs!

I'm so jealous!! I've had my eye on those peplum tops, too, but like you, we don't have H&M down here. I have to drive 6 hours to Houston and that has to be a "special" trip and not something we can just do for fun with the baby and all. Haha!

I wish I was like you that if I see something I like, I can just make it! Haha! You are so talented girl, and I absolutely adore the peplum top! You're looking gorgeous as always! :)

LOV the peplum top! The leather gives it an edge, which I totally love! I can't believe there isn't an H&M in Hawaii yet! And yes I LOVE Nordstrom's Rack! The best deal I got was a pair of J Brand jeans for $10. Love bargain hunting, it really pays off ! Following you now :) So glad I stumbled upon your blog!
