Barbie Toe

Today, I was a vegetable.  I watched re-runs of ANTM (cycle 13).  It was the cycle with all the petite models; 5'7" and under.  The gorgeous Marisa Miller taught the girls, "Barbie Toe"; the secret of elongating short gams.  :D  Being only 5'4" myself, I'm definitely a fan of Barbie toe.  I loved how cycle 13 was partly filmed on the beautiful island I like to call home, Maui.  Woop Woop.

Here's another awesome piece Emilie from Plum for Polly sent me.  The Spots Tee is another affordable item from the Plum Picks section.  I've always been a fan of polka dots and of course you know I'm a fan of over-sized, so it was a no brainer that I'd be in love with with top.  The asymmetrical hemline is an A+ in book as well.  I originally wanted to wear with with black skinnies and some colored heels, but it was so dang hot today that I needed to throw something on that was fuss free.  And since I was in flats, I had to showcase the Barbie toe. ;)  These photos were taken earlier tonight while we waited for a table at Star Noodle.  If you guys are ever in Lahaina town, definitely stop by for some amazing food.  The cocktails are pretty rad too.  I quenched my thirst with a Stargarita; a citrus-y twist on the classic margarita.  Mm mm.

Gotta jet... it's couch time with the Pirate and Poomies.  We rented No Strings Attached.  I heart NP + AK.  Ciao for now.

{top: Spots tee c/o Plum for Polly | skirt: BCBGMaxAzria | flats: Sam Edelman | sunnies: Ray Ban | bag: thrift}

{karaage chicken, seafood dynamite, steamed pork buns, garlic noodles}

Love, S

You look so cute, as always, and yes, that shirt is a great find. I'm loving the Barbie toe! I'm 5'4" myself (though I almost always wear heels) and I suspect I will find it very useful. :)

Barbie Toe is a silly name for it, however. Long & Lean Step... there we go.

You're taller than I am! By a full 2 inches! Grrrr!

You look just as cute and sweet as my best friend Jazelle. Nate was like, "When did Jazelle start a fashion blog?" Me: "Um, that's my blogger BF from Maui, Sharon...?"

NICE! PS. Our Project808 commenced officially this weekend. I've started researching pricing out shipping out our stuff, pricing out flying Max (our gigantic Bear Dog) out there, now I'm pricing out different ways to get the furniture we need (since renting a furnished home will probably be way too expensive and Hawaiian interior decor is barfy in my book--no offense!!!)... etc. You get the idea!

I'll be celebrating my 30th in Paradise! Hope you join me!!! I might also be there in December looking for jobs and for an apartment. I'm so excited!

I love ANTM!

Btw, Blogger was (still is) having issues the past few days and it looks like it gobbled up my comment on your post below. I love your dress!

Anywayz, I also informed you that I've given you a blog award (which was also gobbled up by greedy Blogger gremlins, but I've now restored). No obligation to pass it on, just my way of telling you that I really enjoy reading your blog :)

lovely polka dot top and your food pics are so delicious looking!

RE your question on my blog: the f21 shoes come from many different suppliers so the quality/comfort varies. Usually fabric shoes from there are really comfy (as are the floral wedges).
