Grandma chic

The weather's pretty gloomy today.  Why oh why!?  I took a vacation day to begin organizing.  I hope I will not waste this day away and actually get some things done.

I wore this outfit this past Saturday and I sent a picture of it to my BFF.  She asked if I found my shirt in my grandma's closet!  Ha ha.  If I did, it wouldn't be a bad thing... it would be 'grandma chic'.  My grandma was born in the 20's and she rocked some pretty cute stuff.  I'm sure if I did find something in grandma's closet, there is NO WAY it would fit me.  She's a tiny little woman and she's also the best grandma in the world! :)

A couple new rings.... I love big-chunky-gaudy rings! Fun fun.

Any fun Monday plans?  Do share.  And please send some sunshiney good feelings to my HUBBY... he's feeling a bit under the weather. :/

Love, S

I love your outfit! Your shirt and rings are super cute.

When I was in Hawaii last year, "Better Together" seemed to be playing everywhere. Reminds me of the fun times I had in Honolulu!

Hope the husband feels better!

...thanks for that much needed reminder! I hope you ended up getting lots done for the day! Cute sandals, by the way. I saw a pair when we were down in Orlando but didn't get them-- now regretting!

My Monday plans kind of stink... going to get a consultation for wisdom teeth removal! yikes :(

Hope your hubby feels better soon!

You look beautiful and love this outfit! Also, the backdrop (the lone street and beachy vibe) has me breathless and really really wanting to visit Hawaii.

wow wow wow wow rings! i am so jealous! i am also a fan of big, gaudy rings. the easiest way to dress up and 'funkify' an outfit! and yours in this post is adorable by the way. i am a total grandma, so represent! loafers, old chunky sweaters, florals, sign me up!

my monday plans yesterday were a little morning pool session with the kids i nanny for, lunch on the balcony, a little wee afternoon nap, playtime in the playground, and roller skating! so fun!

Grandmas are the best...and totally did their thang before us and were (in your and my case) very stylish ladies. I have LOTS of 'grandma' clothes and like it that way. ;) I've been wanting a striped dress recently and seeing yours is confirmation it'd be a fun piece to have this summer. I hope your hubby feels better soon!

Grandma chic is right! Most grandma's these days know how to put themselves together better than the younger generation. I know my grandma always looks quite sophisticated!
