Don't Stop...

I had a mini melt down today.  It was terrible!!  My hubby tried to make me feel better and although he normally helps me realize that the "world isn't going to end and that I'll be ok", I still didn't feel ok after talking to him about it.  So I called up my best friend (Jo of joaniebean, visit her here) to vent and ball my eyes out.  Her response was... LAUGHTER!  Yes, she laughed at me and told me I was crazy and thinking irrationally.  Well, she was right.  I laughed at myself too.  I think I just needed a good cry and vent session.  Thanks Jo!  So glad you picked up your phone today.  Everything is better now and my emotions are in check.  This week was has been a trip.  Here's hoping for a better tomorrow. :)

I got this sweater in March.... and it's been so warm this week... but who cares! I'm still lovin' stripes and it's perfect for eating an extra cookie or two.. hee hee. :) Just kidding. I'm trying to make better eating choices. We got a George Foreman grill. It's actually pretty awesome.. and clean up is a breeze!

{sweater - American Apparel, leggings - INC, shoes - Jeffrey Campbell, bracelets - F21, pearl ring - Tahiti}

Does anyone own a 7-day ring?  If so, where did you find/get yours??  I had one when I was younger.  I wish I still had it!  If you're unfamiliar with what a 7-day ring is, hop on over to joaniebean to find out.

Love, S

Awwww I am soo glad you are feeling better Sharon!! We definitely all need those days where we just vent and let the tears come streaming down! I love your striped top, very cute! Hmm I haven't heard of a 7 day ring before but I am hoping right over to your friend's blog right now... if she is friends with you, she must be a sweetie too!

Oops, sorry I didn't make it in time to enter your giveaway! Darn finals. Anyway, I personally liked the forward look of the dress more... I think it makes you look very classy on top of being cute :)

I'm glad you are feeling better now, Sharon! I know what you mean---sometimes we all need a good cry. Don't you love sleeping afterward... you just knock out right when you hit the pillow!

Anyway hope you're having a good week aside from the meltdown!

P.S. Cute wedges and you look adorable as always!

Thanks for stopping by my blog Sharon and hope to see you again!

i love the mix of black and brown. Normally, a person would pair a b&w striped top with black shoes. i love that you veered away from the norm and it worked!

I LOVE your shoe choices. And I love how everytime I drool over it, it's a pair of Jeff Campbell. I have to visit Little Burgundy (they're the only ones who have Jeff Campbells around here I think) pronto! And I have an unhealthy relationship with stripes as well... especially loose striped tops! Absolutely lovin' what you're wearing Sharon... and you know, everybody needs a little mini blowout once in a while. If not we'd be blowing up like volcanos all at once. And that would be the apocalypse. Haha! Happy Thursday!

Hello, beautiful!

First things first, I OWN A 7-DAY RING!! And I love it :) I got it from my mom, and she got it from someone else (not sure what's the story here) back when she was a student. The ring doesn't fit her anymore so she gave it to me and I've been wearing it for maybe 5 years now... and it's still one of my favorites! Funny though that my mom always referred to it as a "week" ring instead of a 7-day ring, but the idea is still the same :)

Anyways, I hope things start looking up for you, at least you're all smiles in those pictures, love the striped top, you look chic and happy! :) And guess what! You mentione dteh Chictopia contest, I checked it out and then thought to myself... Why not? lol So yeah, I joined it :) Thanks a lot for the idea!! Here, take a look and if you have an account let's be freinds there? I'm still a newby so not too sure how some of the stuff works over there haha

hey sharon! I hope you're feeling better dear. we all have our bad days and it can be tough at times, but try to remember that tomorrow is another day and things will get better, with time. but on another note, you look fabulous! I love the nautical striped top and your shoes! I love those JC wedges! I was thinking of buying them but by the time I decided, they were sold out of my size :( just my luck hahaha but I'm glad that someone I know got them, they look great on you! take care xo

I've never heard of a 7 day ring, but checked it out on the link you left above. I love the idea! And the ones Jo posted are absolutely gorgeous.

I definitely will be on the lookout for one now - obviously, it doesn't really 'protect' you, but its nice to have a symbol that reminds you that you're strong and you can get through anything.

I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. Sometimes all you need is a cheerful friend to put it in perspective!

I had never heard of a 7-day ring before. But I'm intrigued. If you find one, definitely share!

Oh! Sharon - sorry to hear you had a bad day/week! I totally hear you and was having a bad day that day myself. Our poor hubbies probably don't know what to do - GF's are always better for venting and giving it a good cry aren't they? On a side note - eeek! I LOVE those JC's wedges and I swear I still want to get the lack studded ones - but I've been good about not buying anymore shoes.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend sweetie!

Cute sweater! Hope you are feeling better. We all have those days. It's nice to have a support system to help you through tough times. Also happy to hear you are eating healthy! I have started a new health regimen, and it's SO hard right now while I am transitioning from my junk food diet :) Good luck with everything!
