Happy Girl's Day

Every Girl's Day my hubby always gets me a fun and thoughtful treat.  A few years ago he got me a little doll dressed in a kimono and a red notebook that read;

"To: Kitty :) "meow"
Here's a sketch book to
draw and doodle in for me.
Fill up every single page and give
it back to me to keep always.
Ah Labo! Mouses"

I haven't filled the book up yet (terrible! I know), but here are a couple doodles I've done.... of Moi :)

When he came home from work tonight this is what he surprised me with; a Hello Kitty container with treats, umbrella, and zippered pouch.  I have the sweetest hubby ever!  I love you Eli.

Yummy lemon biscuits and hard fruit candy in the Hello Kitty container.

I have a lot of craft related orders that I've been procrastinating on.  I keep telling myself, "Ok, today is the day I NEED to start.".  The I get distracted or I get a phone call or a friend comes over and then I never get to it that day.  I need to get a move on though... so since it's too late tonight, I'll be starting on those orders tomorrow. :)  I PROMISE!

... but I did make this little necklace for myself last night.. ha ha.  Super simple and I think it came out super cute.

Love, S

hi! Thanks for visiting my blog & happy almost 1st anniversary! to answer your question, for our first I got him a couple fun magazine subscriptions, a cookbook, and an atlas. He made me a big map for the wall and pin-pointed our travels together and then made a travel journal we could write in together.

Glad to find your blog. I just became a follower and would love for you to follow mine too. Have a great day!

That is so sweet. I wish I knew someone who celebrated girls day!
P.S. Yeah, I love the photography part as a creative outlet. The only time other people are involved in my pictures are when I'm other places...like when I was in NYC (couldn't pack the tripod!).

I'm so glad you found my blog because it brought me to your beautiful blog. :)

You are very lucky to have such a sweet and considerate hubby! I love everything he gave you. And you are so talented in so many ways! Those illustrations are so pretty and the bow necklace is cute as well.

I also wanted to thank you for the extremely kind comment you left regarding my current situation. I have been so depressed and it is the kindness of such wonderful bloggers like you who have really lifted my spirits. It's also a comfort to know a lot of you understand what I'm going through. I have felt so alone lately.

I hope we can be blogging buddies! I am following your blog now. :)
