Inspired

Went to the market to do some late night grocery shopping. Well, not really groceries; more like milk, coffee, vanilla creamer, granola bars, and nail polish. The nail polish is Kerokerokeroppi and is for my friend's daughter.  Aunty Sharon can't resist buying cute things for her!

Anyway, I was inspired by the D&G Spring 2010 line.. this outfit in particular.

So I looked in my closet to see if I had anything remotely close to this... and this is what I came up with. It's nowhere near as amazing as the actual look, but I feel great in what I came up with.  And, yes I like to dress up to go to the market, even when it's late at night.

{denim shirt - Paul & Joe for Target (thrifted), skirt - Old Navy, belt - ?, boots - Bamboo, sandals - Nine West, bracelets - Hubbs, Clio Blue, jade ring - Hubbs, watch - Orient, via giveaway from Couture Carrie}
I tried the look with navy espadrilles.  I think I like it better with them.

Looking at some snacks before leaving the store, but resisted the urge.  The Hubbs got me this Mini HL LV for my 24th Birthday (that seems like soooooooooo long ago!), along with a weekend getaway to Oahu and two tickets (7th row) to Gwen Stefani.   That was an awesome birthday!

I recieved a surprise in the mail today from my BFF.  A super cute pair of sandals and swiss dot tights from UO!  She's the Best best friend ever.  We've known each other for over 20 years and we've shared so many great memories together.  And although we're thousands of miles away from eachother, she never more than a call away.  I love you Jo!  You are an amazing woman.  Thanks for loving me thru thick and thin.

Oh and one more thing, my "Baldy" (her real name is Lauren) gave birth to a beautiful baby boy last night!!  She is going to be the most amazing mother ever! Congrats Baldy! I love you. Can't wait to meet baby LJ.

Good Night everyone.  Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite.  See ya tomorrow!

Love, S

The outfit looks great and just like the runway actually! I agree, the espadrilles look the best with this outfit since you seem a little short (like me!) so they lengthen your legs a lot better than the boots.

Hehe a "bookshelf of love" is what he called it when I complained that a bookshelf was too practical for a valentines prezzie!

You look adorable! Great interpretation of D&G's runway outfit. Everything goes so well together. Love your smile too. :D

First, why must you be so adorable, Sharon? Second, ohmigosh that was my favorite D&G look, as well - and you recreated it perfectly! I think it looks fabulous with boots or espadrilles! That Mini LV is so adorable; though far too small for me. I doubt I would be able to fit even my lip gloss collection in there!! :)

Hi Sharon! thanks for all your lovely (not to mention consistent) comments! I'm sorry I'm so behind on replying back to them all, I've been busy with 3.5 jobs haha and of course the Olympics!

Any way, I love your interpretation of D&G's runway look and definitely love the navy espadrilles. It gives more of a spring feel to the overall outfit. I love the floral print of that skirt! and your BFF is such a sweetheart! you two seem like the best of friends despite being miles apart - that's the test of a true friendship for sure.

Keep smiling Sharon! and take care xo
