Oxblood
Whether you call it burgundy, wine, or oxblood, the new hue for fall has swept me off my feet. I've slowly been adding pieces of this gorgeous pigment into my wardrobe. The first piece would be these peep toe pumps. Standing at only a modest 3 1/2", it still packs a punch with it's lustrous sheen. I also picked up a bottle of Essie nail lacquer in "Downtown Brown", the perfect burgundy, especially if you have an olive complexion.
I've also been crushing on UNIF tees. Between the Pirate and I, we have 10 of them. They're so rad and I love that we can share. I got this "C you in Chanhell" via Homecoming Honolulu. I love the over-sized fit and the modal-cotton blend feels so comfy soft against my skin. If you guys are ever on Oahu, def check out my home girl, Emilie's boutique, Homecoming, located in Chinatown. She's a sweetheart and will show you all the amazing stuff she carries. You're bound to leave the shop with tons of goodies. Plus, you'll get to meet her pup, the raddest pug ever, Nacho!
Happy Aloha Friday, guys!! Have a great weekend. See ya in a bit.

Collar Love
I'm a smitten kitten when it comes to peter pan collars. There's truly something magical and whimsical about them. It's playfulness certainly brings out the kid in me. When I discovered the jewelry line, LAB by Laura Busony, I was immediately enamored with her designs. I was a kid in a candy shop. Her creatively talented mind and skillful hands craft such amazing metal collar necklaces. And I also love that she sources vintage finds in some of her designs.
I was so excited when she offered to send me one of her beautiful designs. I chose the Brass Oxford Collar Bib Necklace (due to it's popularity and overwhelming demand LAB needed to raise their prices and this necklace is now valued at $148.) Laura, couldn't have described it better; basic, but still a little edgy. I love it so much. It's beautifully and perfectly made. Thank you so much, Laura! This necklace is surely one of my favorites!
Laura has been kind and generous enough to offer my readers 25% off you purchase from her etsy shop. Just enter AlohaLAB at check out. There are so many goodies to choose from. The hard part will be picking out which one (or ones!). Happy shopping, loves.

The Elisharon Eaterie
In the epicurean world, I am a novice when creating meals. That doesn't stop me from having fun and experimenting in the kitchen. Sometimes, the simplest dishes are the best. I enjoying making food that's simple, yet tasty. I also love "styling" food. We do eat with our eyes, first, right? I've been known to make Kraft macaroni & cheese look "gourmet". :)
Tonight, I prepared something super simple; a mini shrimp and avocado quesadilla on a hearty corn tortilla. And what better way to wash it down with than an frosty shot of Patron. Oh Yum!

Here are a few other meals the Pirate and I enjoyed at the Elisharon Eaterie...
{Spinach, sun dried tomato, feta, garlic turkey slider on a pretzel roll, topped with red onion,
Roma tomato, sprouts, and avocado. Tarragon Dijon mustard.
Hana-grown haricot vert with more garlic! Kale & mushroom salad}
{Creamy chicken, mushroom, and zucchini over linguine}
Bon Appetit! Hope you all had a great Monday!

Soft pleats
What better way to offset this delicate blush colored soft pleated skirt than with a psychedelic tee from UNIF!? Who can resist a unicorn tee, especially a horny one?! Ha! Did I ever tell you unicorns are my favorite animal, aside from cats?! I'm so ready for the weekend, so I'll keep this short. As promised, I (actually, the Pirate, via random.org) picked the winner for the Shopbop giveaway. Congrats to Allie from Heels Eggs & Rice. Woo hoo! Paws up! Thanks to everyone that enter. And thank you Shopbop!! Alright off to finish up my Friday... and get ready to enjoy the weekend.
Btw, I have no clue why it looks like I'm grabbing my crotch in the last photo. I swear, I'm not! >_<

In the jungle
Tee's are probably one of the easiest pieces to incorporate into a wardrobe. Their versatility is endless. I love that you can effortlessly dress it up or down. I picked up this panther tee (I really want this one from Zara, but they don't have my size, boo.) the other week and it's becoming one of my faves. So far, I've only worn it in the most casual of scenarios (i.e. running errands and weekend fun), but I can totally see myself styling it tucked into a high-waist pencil skirt, paired with a more streamlined heel. Oh, imagine if that pencil skirt was in one of fall's hottest hues, burgundy!? SWOON.
I received these Lita-look-alike's from My Hot Shoes. The cobalt shade surely injects a pop of color to any look. Anyone who's on a budget and wants to satisfy their Lita craving, should considering getting a pair of these. And if you do, don't forget to that you can save 20% off, just enter "SHARON" at check out.
btw... I haven't forgotten about the Shopbop giveaway.. I'll announce the winner soon. :)

Fabric & Handle
Practicality is normally not on the top of my list of reasons when acquiring new pieces to my wardrobe. Um, hello, I'm the girl who lives in Hawaii that owns quite a few fur jackets. However, when Salinya from Fabric & Handle contacted me to see if I wanted to feature one of her newest bag designs, I was immediately drawn to the practicality of her pieces. Her designs are beautifully crafted, simple, timeless, and versatile. Her latest creation, the Tote Backpack features interchangeable leather straps, which allow you to create three different variations. If this doesn't scream versatility, I don't know what does. The price point on the bag is a steal ($98), considering you have three bags in one. Take a peek at this little video to show you the different options of how to use the Tote Backpack. I've used mine all three ways and I would say my fave way to use it would be as the back pack. It's definitely not your ordinary school backpack which is normally quite cumbersome. Instead the slim, but durable leather straps makes for a very chic backpack. I would definitely recommend the Tote Backpack. Hope on over to Fabric & Handle and scoop one up! There are lots of other great styles as well, so don't forget to check them out. Thanks Salinya for sending this over. And it couldn't be better timing, just in time for classes.

It's been a while
Sorry for the lack of posts as of late, but life has been busy and a lot of changes have been going on. One thing that I've re-learned last week is that you don't take anything and especially anyone for granted. Tell the ones you love, that you love them. Heck, tell them a million times a day if you will, but most importantly show them that you love them.
On a sartorial note, if you asked me a year ago if I'd sport something camouflage, I'd immediately answer, "ew! no!". After stalking the blogosphere and seeing everyone and their mama's donning the print, I decided to jump on the bandwagon. Oh, how I can easily be swayed! I found this men's (xs) shirt at Old Navy. It's substantial weight in fabric will be great worn as a regular button down, and also my new cool fall jacket! Double score. Naturally, I added a few feminine and playful pieces; a pale pink lace shell with a peter pan collar and leopard pointy toe pumps. I'm totally ready for fall. Don't ya think?!
