Oahu getaway

Although it's just a hop, skip, and 30 minute flight away, I always look forward to visiting Oahu.  One of the main reasons, my sister lives there.  She lovingly and generously always invites us to stay with her (and her rad BF and their two adorable but socially awkward cats, Maddie & Chloe) in her lush green valley chateau.  Another reason... shopping.  If you've been to Maui, there are plenty of things to do, but one of them isn't shopping.  Haha.  At least not the shopping I prefer.

Since I don't have a reliable camera these days (I normally just use my phone), I didn't capture too many snaps... but I hope you enjoy the ones I did...

Each morning we woke up with the sound of birds chirping (some where chickens), the river running, and the sunlight peeking through the window pane.  Looking out the window, it was as if we were engulfed by lush greens.  Pretty amazing, if you ask me.  And we ended each night with a glass (or two, or three) of Blue Moon and Guinness.

When on vacay (especially if I know I'm gonna shop), I normally wear a dress and flats.  Easy peasy to take on and off, while in dressing rooms.  And if I'm going to be walking all day, a pair of comfy flats are the best option.

My Sister treated us (for the Pirate's bday) to a delectable dinner at Le Bistro in Niu Valley.  It was my first time at a French restaurant and OMG, I am hooked.  I tried escargot and foie gras for the very first time.  DEEELIIICIOUS!  I had the Beef Quartet and the wagyu beef with foie gras slider which was AMAZING!  Seriously, one of the best meals of my life.  Yum!

We enjoyed lunch at the Wai'oli Tea Room.  This quaint little restaurant is located in Manoa.  If the Pirate and I ever move to Oahu, we'd love to live in Manoa.  The homes there have so much character and the weather is always cool.  :)

Ate one of my favorite meals, bibimbap at Yogurstory.  I loved Yogurstory and can't wait to go back.  Apparently, it's owners wanted to initially open up a fro-yo joint (but I didn't see any indication of froyo anywhere.  The waitress mentioned they turned the froyo counter to a bar instead), and came up with the name, but only after everything was printed (i.e. signage, menus, etc...), they caught the typo.  Sorta neat, if you ask me.

His and her shoe porn...

Visited Bamboo Sky in hopes of meeting Tiff, but she wasn't in.  Instead I met the cutie patootie and ever so bubbly, Adele!  Hi Adele!!!  Can't wait to come back to visit and of course SHOP!

And of course I had to meet up with one of my bloggy bestie's, Mae.  Gosh, I look like a heffer standing next to Mae.  Note to self, never ever ever ever wear anythine over sized when taking photos with this petite bombshell.  And of course I had to sport Mae's "favorite" shoe, the Lita.  NOT.  She nearly barfed when she saw them.  Man, I love this girl.  She is amazeballs.  Can't wait to chill with her again.  Hopefully next month.  Yippee!

I had an awesome time and can't wait to go back.  So much fun.  Have a great weekend, guys!

Why, hello there!

These heels have been seen all over the blogosphere.  This is my second time wearing them and although they are pretty on, I have to admit they are not the comfiest pair I own.  Maybe with a little more wear, they feel better on the toesies.  Meet my new favorite bracelet.  Picked it up from Bamboo Sky.  I love the encrusted-rose gold-spikey-goodness!

Sorry that I haven't blogged so much lately.  We went on our little Oahu-get-a-way last week.  It was so much fun and we ate a ton of food!!  I only took snaps with my phone, so I'll do a post later this week.  I've been buried under a ton of projects, work, school, and also two upcoming fashion shows!!  So busy, but having so much fun. :)  Now, only if I could clone myself, I'd get all these things done in half the time.  Or I need to find me a great seamstress.  Any takers?

Here's to a great week, ladies (and 'gents).  Muah!!

happy THREE to WE!

THREE, ♥♥♥ it's definitely one of my favorite numbers.  Today, Eli and I celebrated 3 years of marriage!!  Time surely does fly when you're spending it with someone who is so amazing and makes life that much more thrilling!  We just got back from our Oahu trip, so we didn't really have time to "celebrate" today, but I don't need a fancy dinner or an expensive gift to know that what we've got together is something special. :)  He truly is my soul matey, my best friend, my Pirate!!  I'm excited to see what the future has in store for us.  It can only get better!  I love you, boo.  It's you and me, forever.  ELISHARON for LIFE!

Us, Cute? :)

Hi guys!  Sorry I've been m.i.a.  I came down with a cold last week.  Being sick is never fun.  I'm not 100% just yet, but I definitely feel better.  I slept a lot this past weekend, about 32 hours to be exact.  My body definitely needed all that sleep.

My bud, Ty over at Solestruck posted the cute little doodle that the Pirate and I sent him last week, over on the Solestruck Blog.  Big Mahalo's for the shout out, Ty!  You are the best.  We are Solestruck fans for life... and we love you, too!!  xx

The Pirate and I are off to Oahu this week to celebrate his 30th Birthday and also our anniversary.  Yipee!!  Can't wait to celebrate.  Have a great week, loves!

The way to my heart

The Pirate surprised me with these babies.  They're the perfect pair of heels for Spring time fun.  Measuring about 4" high, with no platform and minimal cushion in the sole, walking is pretty easy peasey.  Then again, I've only trotted around with them on, inside the house.  Can't wait to take them for a spin.  Thanks, Pirate boo, you definitely know the way to my heart.  tee hee!

You brighten up my day

Snapped these photos today, while on my lunch break with the Pirate.  Enjoying lunch al fresco on an Aloha Friday surely brightens up my work day. :)  And what better way to end the work week with a brightly colored micro-pleated skirt!  After this busy week, I am SO READY for the weekend.  Let the fun begin!
