Ahh Geez!

I'm sure you all heard that Solestruck was having their EXTRA 50% off Sale shoes SALE.  I've had three pairs in my shoebox, ready for check out since 10pm (hst), but have had zero luck with a successful check out.  It was inevitable that the servers would lag major, so I'm not surprised that I've been sitting in front of my comp for over an hour, refreshing and refreshing over and over again.  I'm not mad at your Solestruck.  How could I be?  EXTRA 50% is soooo generous.  Perhaps, this is a sign telling me I've got way too many shoes already.  Ha! You can never have too many shoes.

Here's what I wore yesterday for my Not-so-Black-Friday-Shopscapade.  I didn't dare brave the madness.  Instead, I slept in, had a leisurely morning with the Pirate and Pooma, then did some late afternoon shopping with the Pirate and sissy-in-law.  We discovered a new little boutique in town with super cute pieces.  I made "friends" with the owner and she hooked me up with a nice discount on the items I ended up buying.  :)  Did you venture out for Black Friday?  Any fun-interesting-crazy-insane stories to share?

Stripes & Royal Blue

Doesn't this look remind you of this one?  What can I say, I'm a creature of habit.

Tomorrow Mr. Gobble will come out to play.  Well, not really, he'll be in my tummy.  I'm so thrilled to be off tomorrow.  I haven't had a Thanksgiving off in years. My in-laws go all out for this holiday.  The spread will be amazeballs tomorrow!  I'm looking forward to my MIL's famous pumpkin roll.  Eep.  I need to find me a pair of "Thanksgiving" pants or perhaps rock it out like Joey Tribbiani and don some maternity pants. ;P

Have a great Thanksgiving, lovelies!

Blogger Love: Sanctuary

I wanted to share with you all, my friend, Sally's (that's her "American" name) fashion & style blog; Sanctuary.  We met last year in the Fashion program, but now she's living in LA.  She's an amazing person and I wish we had more time to chill when she was living in Hawaii, but we've kept in touch and now I have a place to crash if I'm ever in LA. haha.... Let's all get to know "Miss Una". :)

Tell us a little about yourself
My name is Uugantsetseg. I know it sounds so long and complicated to read. So please just call me Una. My name means first flower, because I'm first child in my family. I'm 23 years old, born and raised in Mongolia. Yes I'm 100% Mongolian. Now I'm currently living in Los Angeles, I moved here 4 months ago. I used to live in Hawaii for couple years before that I lived in Chicago for almost a year.

I'm living with my boyfriend. He is in field of music industry. He is going to school for it now. One of the great things about my bf is that he loves fashion. He supports me a lot when I start a blog. Now he is the who takes my pictures. Before he didn't really like to take pictures. Now he is getting real good which is awesome.

I have many hobbies. I love everything about fashion. I love photography(I'm not good at it, but I'm learning),shopping, eating, seeing other people's blog, fashion magazines, movies, reading horror books, Facebook-ing, talking to my mom on the phone (because she is in Mongolia), buying gifts for my little siblings, drawing, doing all types of designs on nail, seeing my friends, going to beach, jet skiing and DIYing.

What inspired you to start at blog?
I'm so blessed that went to school for few semesters and met Sharon. Sharon inspires me a lot. I'm so happy that I met you Sharon :) She is one great fashionistas in Hawaii. No one is like here. People just wear t shirt, shorts and slippers all the time. Also there is one blogger in LA inspired me to have a fashion blog. She is a YouTube beauty guru. She also has a fashion blog. Few months ago I went to Fashions night out in LA in Beverly Center. I met so many stylish girls, designers, and people who are in fashion industry. Most of them have fashion blogs. So all of the these things made to me think that I should get a blog. So I’ve decided to get one since I love fashion and I looove to dress up.

What is your favorite thing to do in LA?
I have been in LA for only 4 months, so I don't really know that much places. So for now I love blogging since my blog is brand new. I'm enjoying every single thing of it. The fun part is the photo shoots. Another cool thing about LA is shopping. In every store you have tons of choices. Not only brand stores, but there are cutest fashion boutiques, designer sample sales and of course Santee Alley. I've realized that I was spending a lot for shopping when I wasn't in LA. Since I'm in LA there are so many affordable, but the most stylish clothes I can shop for.

Do you work? Go to School?
I'm on vacation now. School will start in few months. I'm majoring in Fashion designing which I'm passionate about. I can't wait to have more exciting times in school. Also I work in Japanese restaurant for part time in Studio City. I'm a cashier and waitress.

Who are your favorite Designers?
My favorite designers are Alexander McQueen, Max Azria from BCBG, Christian Louboutin, Jeffrey Campbell, DonatelaVersace, Stella McCartney, Givenchy and Marc Jacobs.

Describe your personal style.
I would describe my personal style as: OMG! It’s so hard. I never described my style before. But normally it's quite fierce but still feminine. But I like to wear things that are kinda simple but still unique, little bit of romantic, classy, chic and love to wear heels. Also I love fierce or sassy looks. Sometimes I like things that are rock & roll styled but still girly. I love gladiator sandals, thigh high boots, dresses, blazers, lots of colours, leggings, leather, fur, skinny jeans and fringe.

What are your favorite trend(s) of the moment?
At the moment, favorite trends are color block, chiffon blouses and ankle booties (the comfy ones). When I go shop nowadays I always look for something chiffon such as chiffon tops, dresses, and skirts.

Thanks, love for a great Q&A... Isn't Sally a sweetheart?  She's a totally down to earth girl.  And I love that we share the same passion for Jeffrey Campbell's and spicy food! Definitely my kind of girl. :)  I miss her tons and hopefully will be able to visit her in LA one day soon.  Hope you all are having a great Monday!  I'm so excited that it's a 3 day work week and I get a small break from classes too. It will still be a busy week, but I feel like I'll have a little more time to breathe.  Ciao.

HIGH.low♥

I've been obsessing with high-low silhouettes for some time now.  Whether it be in the form of a blouse, skirt, or dress, the silhouette is a definite favorite of mine.  It's fun, quirky, and edgy, just like me, or so I'd like to think.

I was thrilled when ♥Pink Ice♥ sent over their High Scale Dress for me to style.  I wore it two times in one week!  Yes, that's how much I love it.  I've received numerous compliments and some even asked if I got this dress from Zara. Pfffttt! Don't get me wrong, I love and adore Zara's aesthetic, but I'm saddened when I see the price tags.  However, this dress is totally affordable in comparison.  It's a cotton-silk blend, which makes it totally breathable, something that's a must when living in paradise.  You can shop this dress here, and don't forget to enter "Elisharon" at check out for 10% off your purchase.

Don't you love my O.M.G. bracelet! Amazeballs, right?!!

I Love Olive

I surely do love Olive.  The color, the food, and even the name.  Wouldn't it be cute to name your little darling, Olive? :)

Megan over at Alainn Bella sent me this charming little number.  I love the fit, feel, flow, and print of this dress.  And it's lined too!  A+, in my book. :)  Personally, I don't wear pieces with cap sleeves, because they make my "shapely" arms look even bigger than they already are, but I think the cap on this dress, fits me quite nicely.  Cap sleeves definitely make dresses feel more feminine and delicate.  Because of the delicate vibe of the dress, I couldn't resist edging it up a bit.  I layered on my trusty safari/utilitarian-esque vest, studded belt, and JC Tardy's.  I really love this styling!  It's so ME!  However, I was going to be out and about running errands yesterday and wanted to make sure I could get them done in a jiffy, so I switched over to a pair of patent leather olive colored ballet flats and a playful belt.  A total 180 from the first look, but equally as amazing! :)  And don't you love the monochromatic palettes of both looks as well?  I surely do.  The "I Love Olive" dress is fully stock (in all sizes) at Alainn Bella.  Hop on over and get one for yourself and maybe even a friend.  Trust me, you'll love it!  Fits true to size too!  Don't forget to enter "Elisharon" at check out for your discount.

I finally picked a winner for the Alainn Bella ankle jeans.  The lucky lady is, Annette of the VersaStyle!  Congrats girl.  Can't wait to see you style these babies up.  Thanks to everyone that entered and thanks Megan for this giveaway! Muah.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, loves!

Story of my life

Lookie!!  I finally got my paws on a pair of the Jeffrey Campbell TARDY!  I was dying to get a pair since they debuted a few months back, and when I saw they were on sale on fp.com, I didn't hesitate to click, add to cart, and confirm purchase! Two days later, they were mine.  I'm sorta drooling over the Tardy Stud, now.  Surprisingly enough, these shoes do not help with my inability to be on time.  When I first wore these last week, I was 2 hours TARDY to my 8:30am class.  If you follow me on twitter you know why.... #storyofmylife.

Playful Sophistication

Renee', owner of 11 Eureka Boutique generously sent me this blouse.  Isn't it adorable?  The whimsical print exudes a playful sophistication, perfect for the office.  And it can easily translate to weekend-time-fun with a pair of cut offs and ballet flats.

{blouse: gifted from 11 Eureka | jeans: ON | purse: Kenneth Cole | watch: Michael Kors}

I adore the unique treasures her shop has to offer. With a lot of hard work, passion, and a great support system, Renee' was able to make her dream become reality, and thus 11 Eureka was born! Let's get to know Renee' a little better.

Tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Renee' and I am from a charming town 30 minutes outside of Chicago. I live with my boyfriend of 11 years who is the love of my life as well as my rock. We have two girls (our dogs) who we are obsessed with. Gretta is our feisty Jack Russell who is the worst behaved dog but somehow has the biggest place in my heart (shhhhh, don't tell Marley), and then there is Marley, our 3-legged Cattahoula Leopard Dog. We love to travel, but who doesn't? We love getting together with our friends around campfires or karaoke-ing at our favorite place.

What made you decide to open up an online shop?
I was given the opportunity to manage a local boutique for two years and quickly fell in love with the possibilities. The town where I am from is very simple, so our store fashion choices had to be toned down a notch. I love pattern, color, nature inspired things, and needed to spread my wings a little with others who could enjoy the same. After much consideration, I decided to just take the leap and take this chance on my own. I will have to give many thanks to my friends and family who completely backed me up and practically made me go for it!

Your first fashion memory? Favorite piece from your own wardrobe.
My first memory is picking this thick wool black and white plaid dress that my grandma made for me and insisting on wearing it in the summer. I had to of been 4 or 5 years old, but my mom always let me express my fashion and never argued about what is acceptable or not. Thanks Mom! My favorite piece in my closet would be......this Betsey Johnson Sequin shrug that I have never worn, but have had it for 8 or 9 years now. I love looking at it, trying it on, but at the end of the day, I never can find a place to rock it out with.

What or who inspires you?
Oh, this ones very hard. On a daily basis, my friends. Most of them are very creative people (florist, graphic designer, painter), I always love an Anthropologie visit since they have the most creative displays as well as pattern choices, and once in a while I stumble across an individual who just blows me away. My latest discovery....Sibella Court from Australia

Do you have a favorite designer?Well, I usually do not follow major designers, but I seem to have a lot of Tracy Reese dress's. I really like her color and pattern choices.

What type of girl do you envision wearing your pieces?
A girl like me. Someone who wants to incorporate a little bit of color and pattern into their daily wardrobe. I have worked in almost every environment from casual to stuffy work spaces, and there is NO reason you shouldn't be able to express your self through fashion. It could be a hair accessories or a blouse, but I try and choose pieces that you wont be able to find at your local department store. Isn't that why people shop at boutiques? To find a little something special.

If you could splurge (guilt free) on any fashion related item, what would it be? (sky's the limit!!)
Oh, I do splurge way too much, but if sky's the limit........I have been eying this coat from Free People (http://www.freepeople.com/clothes-jackets-outerwear-2/fp-one-reversible-fur-coat/). I can't justify another coat in my closet, but I really really want this one. Its a little pricey for my budget (ok, its way too pricey for my budget), but maybe the fashion gods will smile upon my and it will be marked down to say, $49.00 by Christmas? Probably not, but here's hoping!

Isn't Renee' awesome?  Thanks again Renee for being so sweet!  Don't forget to swing by her shop, grab some goodies for yourself, and a friend or two. :)  Have a fabulous week, lovelies!

Love, S

Weekend uniform

We've been blessed with cooler weather here in the islands.  We even had rain, thunder, and lightning!  Rain is a rarity on Maui, especially on the west side.  With the cooler weather arriving, it gives me reason to bring out the boots.  Sure, it's still warm enough to wear open toe sandals, but any chance I get to wear boots, I'll take.

Young over at ♥Pink Ice♥ sent over these awesome Lace Up Combat Boots.  I love that they are camel colored, because they blend in with my tan skin, which hopefully gives the illusion of a longer leg line. :)  I also love the broken-in look.  The little 1" heel adds support while you walk as well.  Is it just me, or do your feet hurt more when walking in flats vs. heels?  Young also sent over this super hot Rock Bottom Purse.  This mini cross body bag is roomy enough to hold all my things as well as the hubbs, that I've ditched my big bag for the past few days.  And of course the stud detail adds definite edge.  Thanks Young and the rest of the Pink Ice team for your generosity.  These items will be in be in heavy rotation this fall and winter season.

Pink Ice is offering 10% off to my readers.  Just enter "Elisharon" at check out.  Also, if you like Pink Ice on Facebook you can stay updated with their exclusive deals.
