If I could tell the world just one thing

... it would be, we're all okay.  I ♥ Jewel.

Just wanted to drop in with a quick Hello!  I'm off to a going away party.  Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.  And hopefully the weather is behaving and getting warmer in your part of the world so that you can enjoy a yummy shave ice treat, like I did today.  :)

I need a cure

A pedicure

Today was crazy hectic.  I was so relaxed yesterday and today was the complete opposite.  I won't bore you with the details, but I'm glad it's over.. for now at least.  Tomorrow is another day.  Rediscovering a fun heel tucked in the back of your closet sure does chase away the manic Monday blues!  Hope you guys aren't getting too bored with my shoe shots... and I'm sorry for the unglamourous toes.  I need to polish them asap.

On the wings of love

I took a "mental health" day today.  I got to sleep in.  Made an indulgent egg, bacon, and cheese croissant sammie for me and the hubby.  So bad, but so good.  Hey, it's the weekend, a girl can indulge.  And I've been good on seeing my old buddy, Jim Gym.  Our relationship is on it's way to it's former existence.  I spent most of the day lounging with the hubby and Pooma.  I love days where you can just relax and do absolutely nothing.

The other month I won a Charlie & Lee promo code from Lily.  I really wanted to get me this hot little number by Stylestalker, but they only had it available in a size 2!  Then, I saw that Charlie & Lee carried JC's, so I got the Winger oxfords.  I've been wanting a pair of oxfords for a while now, and I love how these are unique.  I also love that they are two-toned and studded.  Thanks again Lily for picking me.. and thank you to Charlie & Lee too!

Well, I'm off to go do a little more relaxing.  I've got some projects to get done tonight.  Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovelies. Kiss.

I do not like green eggs and ham

In a couple of months, I'll be taking part in a spring fashion show hosted by our fashion club at school.  We were each faced with a challenge of designing garments based on one color of the rainbow.  I got green.  I'm not a huge fan of the color green, but I'm definitely up for the challenge.  I've been dreaming up a lot of designs in my head, but it's finally time to put them down onto paper.  Wish me luck!!

I finally broke in my silver glitter Lita's today.  I got stares, glares, and oooo's and ahhhh's.  There's no in between... you either love 'em or hate 'em.  Obviously, I love them.

Sorry for the crappy BB photos, my camera died on me today. Happy Weekending lovelies! Relax and enjoy the three day weekend!!!

Reunited and it feels so good

I reunited with an old friend last night.  The gym.  I don't even remember the last time I stepped foot into the gym, but last night was great.  It took a while to get back into the groove of things, engaging muscles I forgot existed, and by the end of my workout, I felt amazing!  Here's to the beginning of a healthier ME!

What do you guys do to stay active?  Any favorite healthy meals?

ChouChou

Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day. :)  Sorry, I've been m.i.a., but hopefully I'll be able to get back to normal blogging in a couple days.

I've been obsessed with making these ChouChou's or better known as the scrunchie!  Remember these, from back in the day? I used to have tons of them!

Spread too thin

Do you ever wish there were more hours in the day?  Or you could say "no" when asked to do something you know you don't have the time for.  Magic genie where are you?  I need to use up one of my wishes.  Wait. Make that two.  I have so much to get done by tomorrow, and instead of piling on the stress, I decided to take a much needed break.

For a girl who lives in Hawaii, I own way too many "cold weather" pieces... but I don't care!  I love sweaters, coats, and especially furs! Faux fur of course.  I got this one from UO last month.  It was originally $150, but scored it on super sale for only $16.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.  We're supposed to be getting heavy rain this weekend... perfect cuddle weather.  Ok, break over, back to work.

Wet Litas!! :(

I Heart ban.do

Aren't these just so lovely?  I'm a smitten kitten.

Anyone have any Valentine's Day plans?  I'm normally a sucker for the lovey-dovey, gag me with a spoon festivities that surround Valentine's Day, but really, every day is V-Day with the hubby.  See, I told you I'm a sucker. :)

JC-ish for less

You all know I'm a Jeffrey Campbell fanatic, and although the JC brand is relatively inexpensive, there are fashionistas (myself included) on a budget.  I've been taking it easy on purchasing any new shoes (but still swooning over Pink Pony Lita.. wouldn't these be perfect for Vday!? and the Leopard Wonder), but last night I found these JC look-a-likes on Urbanog.  I'm not sure about the quality and if they're as comfy as JC's, but the price can't be beat.  You can buy two pairs for yourself, and even one for your BFF!  Just sayin'.

Help Me Please!!

Hey lovelies!  Can I ask you a HUGE favor?  I recently entered a contest for a rad pair of OWLITA earrings... And I need your help.  All you need to do is "like" Owlita on Facebook, then "like" the comment that I left on their page.  This was the comment I left:
"You'll never find anyone as good for you as I am, to believe in you as much as I do or love you as much! "
-Katie to Hubbell (The Way We Were) I ♥ this movie... Robert Redford was so dreamy ♥

AND if you leave a comment on the comment I left on their page, that would count as a double vote for me.  The person with the most likes by February 7th, will win the earrings!!  Can you believe one girl already has over 200 likes on her comment?! Crrrazy!  So, your help is super appreciated.  Hop on over to Owlita's Facebook page, here.  Thanks so much!!!

As for the outfit below... I think the pants make me look hippy-er than normal, but they are just so comfy.  Get this, they're little boy's pants too.  Who would've thought!  I enjoyed a yummy bowl of beef bourguignon from Maui Bake Shop.  I can't believe it took me this long to uncover this hidden treasure.  If you're ever on Maui, Maui Bake Shop is the place to be.  It's the closest to France that I can get.. at least for now. And OMG, the french horns are like biting into heaven.  d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s.

... oh and Happy Chinese New Year!!

Battling daylight in faux fur

I think I'm pretty lucky to have a man in my life that has the same desire for fashion (and sewing) as I do.  Last semester for Pirate's final project, he chose to work with faux fur.  He wanted to create something none of the locals here were wearing.  And that wasn't too hard, because the default uniform here is a tank top, cut-offs, and flip flops.  I'm definitely not that girl that blends into the background.  I don't mind and actually like being noticed.  The piece he created for me, will definitely turn some heads. :)

We ventured to Kapalua to get some forest-y shots on Pineapple Hill, but time was not on our side.  We literally had about 10 minutes and was able to capture a couple natural light shots, before the darkness crept in.  These photos don't really do his creation justice. (Thank you crappy point and shot).  Another added bonus he included is the exposed separating zipper, which allows me to also wear the sweater like a jacket.  Thank you honey making me such a gorgeous piece.  Can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve.

A fun night with my honeys

Last night, the Pirate and I treated a couple friends to a luau.  Playing tourist is always fun, especially when there's an all you can Hawaiian dinner buffet and open bar included!

I love these girlies.. and will miss My Mongolian (the one on the left) when she leaves for Florida next month.  Now I have a great excuse to plan a trip to Florida.  :)  Thanks honeys for an awesome evening.
