I don't like Mondays (but Tuesdays are great)

I lied.  For the most part, I do love Mondays.. just as much as I love everyday of the week.  I don't discriminate. :)

I do love this website I just came across today... I DONT LIKE MONDAYS!  The pieces they offer are begging to join my wardrobe.  I'm definitely a fan of clothing that drapes effortlessly off the body.  And that's just what I DONT LIKE MONDAYS has to offer.  And they also have rad body con dresses for those of you that don't have a food baby to conceal. :)  These are a few of my favorite items.

Now, go buy yourself something fabulous!

Creativity is meant to be shared

Here are some money/card boxes that I've recently fashioned.  I love making the Hello Kitty ones!!  They're my favorite.  I'm working on two more Hello Kitty ones and will post those when I'm done.  If you have an upcoming party, let me know, I'd love to make you one! :)

AND Happy Cyber Monday everyone!  Lots of deals on the interweb.  Ready, set, shop!

I got a RUN!

Had dinner at Barnes & Noble tonight.  And by dinner, I mean coffee. :)  Found some fun reads.  I love Bakerella's cake pop book.  I want to make so many of them.

I'm so bummed about the tank I'm wearing.  There's a freakin' run in it.  You can clearly see it! Look how BIG it is.  I got it a long time ago, for super duper cheap (like $12), and this was my go to tank.  I wore it at least once a week, sometimes twice.  It was versatile, flowy, and even though it's 100% polyester, it's still SUPER breathable.  I knew I should have bought more than one of these.  Do you have any items that you have a "spare" of?

Thank goodness for stretchy pants

This year, Thanksgiving didn't feel like Thanksgiving.  I had to work.  Then again, I always work on Thanksgiving.  Hubby brought me some Thanksgiving grub for lunch and I stuffed my face like a little piggy.  I'm sorta sick of food right now.  And if you didn't know this already, I'm not a fan of Mr. Gobble.  I prefer the salty yummy goodness that is Mr. Hammy. mmmmmm!!

I wore this to the movies tonight.  We went to see Harry Potter and it was fantastic.  I got these pants last month and I was a bit hesitant about purchasing them because of the HUGE drop crotch, but I'm so thankful for them.  They are the perfect pair of pants to wear after getting your Thanksgiving grub on.  I love how they drape, that it's 100% silk, and the elastic waistband is another added bonus.  I'm also still very thankful for all the things that I was thankful for last year.  Plus, Cheryl Maeda!  She's so talented and has helped me improve my sewing skillz!! :D

So, I'm curious to know, was anyone brave enough to tackle Black Friday?!  Find any good deals?

The grass is always greener

Lately, I've been sleeping with braids in my hair so that in the morning I can sport some BIG hair.  I've been loving it!  My natural hair has a very slight wave to it, but for the most part it's straight... and thick!  I've always wanted wavy or curly hair, but of course, you always want what you don't have.  I guess I should have taken some shots of the wavy bigness that I donned yesterday, but my camera was m.i.a.  There's always tomorrow! I'll snap some then.

I'm also loving the weather lately.  It's cooling down, but the sun is still shining brightly.  It was a great day to roll around in the grass.  So after class, that's just what I did. :)

Ugh I hate when my bangs split in the middle!

My apologies

Hey guys!! I hope you're still there. :)  Sorry, I've been m.i.a. this whole week.  It was a busy one.  But, I'm back and hopefully will be able to catch up on all my lovely bloggy friends postings.

A visit to the Clinic

Thanks everyone for the get well wishes.  I'm feeling better.  It was a 2 day bug and now I'm finally feeling better.  After that two day bug, I had a two day hangover. Ha ha!  I can't party as hard as I used to be able to.  Oh damn you late 20's!!!  Over the weekend we celebrated my lovely sister-in-law Leah's 25th Birthday.  We had fun, drinking, dancing, and partying the night away.  Happy Birthday Leah, I love you!!

See these.  Do you like them?  My friend, Sally asked if I wanted them, but I'm still on the fence.  I've got to admit, these shoes are fierce!  The funky silhouette, buckles, and mirrored wedge make the shoe totally bad ass, plus they're super comfy (gotta love a well-padded foot bed!).  Then again, I'm also thinking of possibly making another JC purchase in the near future.  Decisions, decisions.  So....... I'm not sure.  I guess I'll have a decision by Wednesday. :)

Looks can be deceiving

I'm feeling under the weather.  Same goes for the Pirate.  We managed to get out of bed, visit the docs, and pick up some lunch.  I'm a firm believer that just because you feel sick, doesn't mean you need to LOOK sick.  Today, I donned a slouchy tee made by the Pirate.  I'm a lucky gal to have a sweet man who not only loves me with all his heart and then some, but also makes me awesome pieces to wear.  Okay, this was originally for him, but I think it looks much better on me! :)

Off to rest and watch me some eye candy that I like to call Chuck Bass.

Monday morning coffee

I woke up early enough today to actually enjoy, instead of gulp down, my morning coffee.  Before heading to work,  I visited the Big Buddha at the Lahaina Jodo Mission.  The warm morning sun kissed my cheeks and while listening to the waves crash onto the shoreline, I realized how lucky I am to live on such a beautiful island.  Hope you found something to be thankful for today.

Across the water across the deep blue ocean

I whipped up these heart print denim shorts in a couple hours last night.  Not too shabby.  Maybe next time I'll take the pleats out in the front so that I won't look as wide. :/  These photos make me miss my tan.

Sitting pretty sipping tea

Lauren Moffat's "The Honeymooner" collection is just what I've been searching for.  I know it's still fall (and we finally got some fall weather here on Maui, it's chilly, rainy, and coooooold.  I'm in love with the weather right now!), but this collection has got me yearning for spring!  These sweet pieces, complete with lovely pastels, frilly silhouettes, boater hats, whimsical bags, and mary janes with girlie ankle socks scream Tea Party!!  And what better timing, I'll be attending a Tea Party in a couple weeks.  I'll definitely be drawing inspiration from this collection for my attire.  It's just so pretty and so perfect!

My favorite look.

A pocket full of posies

One of the places I visited while on Oahu was Target.  I don't know why I get so excited to go to Target, but I just do.  It's probably because we don't have one on Maui.  I was surprised to see that they still had a few Tucker for Target pieces left on the racks.... the clearance rack!!  I tried on a bunch of stuff, but only found this top to my liking.  The sleeve shape is great and so is the slight cowl neck, but the selling feature for me were the pockets!  I love hidden pockets in garments.  Don't you?

The afternoon greeted me with gray skies, a cool breeze, and sprinkles... great cuddle time weather.  Too bad that Pirate is at work. I guess it's time to cuddle with Poomdog. :)

Please pardon my chaotic bookshelf!!

All that glitters is gold

I'm back and I missed you all. Hope everyone had a fun and safe weekend.  Oahu was great and the weekend flew by faster than normal, but it feels great to be back home.  I have a full week ahead, but hopefully will be back to normal blogging soon. :)  I'll leave you with a pic of something new and shiny.
