H.U.M.P. day

I love Hump Day Wednesdays. It's my day off and a day for me and only me, well at least until Eli comes home.  I get to do or not do whatever my heart desires.  Today I woke up late (about 9:45am), talked to my bff (I'm trying to convince her to revive her blog), spent a few moments with a friend who's leaving town today, did some retail therapy online (well just window shopping.. I think I need to go on a shopping ban for a while), visited my favorite blogs,  played with Pooma, went to the bank, and picked up some lunch from Zushi because Eli was coming home for lunch and I was too lazy to make anything.

Lunch with hubbs, Yummy lunch from Zushi. I haven't eaten there in what seems like years!!!
Lady's Special (shrimp tempura + cali rolls) and Deep Fried Teriyaki Chicken w/ mac salad! and of course Miso soup.
Pooma was being a little beggar and wanted some tempura.. silly dog, dogs don't eat shrimp.  We're kinda wearing matching dresses today too!! ha ha.
Wearing: dress - Volcom
The day is still young.. what to do? what to do?

Mele Kalikimaka!

I had a great Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve with my parents and grandma, ate a yummy dinner, hung out, and exchanged gifts.. then on Christmas day Eli and I enjoyed Champy for breakfast :) and a yummy lunch at Lulu's; Truffle Mac & Cheese, Furikake Fries, and more yummy cocktails.

What our tree looked like on Christmas Eve and a quick drawing of our outfits on Christmas day. :)
(I ended up knotting my top up later that day, to show the tulle dress a little more)
At my parents house, Christmas day, before we went to lunch...

Mmmmm the yummy Mac & Cheese + Furikake fries with aioli dipping sauce!! Delish. :)
We spent Christmas evening with Eli's parents home with the sis and bro.  They prepared a yummy prime rib and crab leg dinner. It was also the first time we all tried the green bean casserole thingy that people normally make during the holidays. I was really excited to try that, but eh, it was alright. And the night wouldn't be complete without momma Cindy's pumpkin roll! After chillin' with the family we went back to our place and hung out with some friends that were visiting from Vegas and Pheonix. I love the holidays... you get to meet up with friends you haven't seen for a while. :)

I painted these for Cielle and Leah. :)
Last night we went to hang out with Carina.  It was her last night in town. We chilled and ate yummy bbq. She went home to Vegas today. Boo!! I miss her already. :(

Meowy Christmas Eve

Christmas is just a day away and to some in the world, they're already celebrating! Me and Eli are having dinner tonight at my parents. Just the 5 of us; mom, dad, grandma, me & Eli. Oh and Pooma of course.

I wanted to share the Rasta Cuppies I made for our friend Wendy's son's 1st birthday party. I can't believe he's one already.  The year went by really fast!

Rasta Cuppies!!
Me + Wendy (and her hubby, Jaysen in the back). Do we look like sisters? I always get that, but I don't think so. I'm 100% Filipino and she's 100% Japanese. I remember when she was pregnant with her first child, we both went into Starbucks and the barista thought she was my mom! I didn't correct her either and Wendy and I just laughed about it. ;P
Hubby + Me + Birthday Boy ~Kapono~ Isn't he just the cutest!!?!!
The Easleys (Wendy + Jaysen) are such incredible people! They're fantastic friends and amazing parents. They've raised such great kids.

Oooo and I also want to thank Ab from The Owls Closet , she awarded me with the Beautiful Blogger award. Thanks sweet Ab, I feel so special. So now I will need to list 7 random facts about me.

1.  I dream in Black and White (maybe a couple times a year in color). So sad. :(
2.  We live in a two bedroom place and one of those bedrooms are designated just for MY clothes!! and shoes. :)
3.  I didn't get my license (or really drive at all) until I was 20.  My friend acutally told me that he would give me $100 if I got my license before I turned 21, so I guess that was a good incentive. BTW, I never got the $100.
4.  Our wedding theme was Tokidoki inspired.
5.  I'm a big fan of Cookies! All kines. I don't discrimiate.
6.  I had an HUGE girl crush, boderline ObSeSsiOn with Britney Spears. OMG.
7.  Eli and I have been together for 10 years, married for 9 months. :)
I wanted to throw in a #8. I can't whistle!! boo :(

and now, I would like to award the following bloggers:
Tiffany of I am Style-ish
Michelle of Always Overdressed
Lar & Cath of Asian Cajuns

I hope everyone has a Meowy Christmas! :) Don't forget to leave your cookies and milk out for Santa.

Styles of Hair Past

I'm excited to announce the winner of the ciellestar giveaway is Nathalie from Accessory Pirate.  Congrats Nathalie!! Thanks to everyone who participated... and don't fret I'll be having another little giveaway soon.

I've been wanting a new haircut / style for some time. I've had long hair for what seems to be forever. I used to rock such fun, trendy, sassy colored short looks... but for some reason I can't commit to chopping my locks. I'm looking for some inspiration...

Styles of Hair Past... I found some old pics (the last one is acutally the most recent, taken on my bday this past July) and these are just a few hairstyles I've had.  I really loved experiementing with color, kinda was obsessed with reds... and my previous hairdresser and friend (who is no longer with us... Miss you Deb!!) would always come up with fun things to do with my hair. I was always up for something and anything new.

I hope to have a new hairstyle by January. Crossing fingers. ^_^ ooooo and I've only recently tried the peppermint mocha latte at Starbucks... OMGosh, Christmas in my mouth... :) Yum

Hope everyone had a lovely Sunday! 5 more days til Christmas..

Mopey Monday

I've been battling a darn cold for the past few days. Last night was horrendous and I will spare you the details. Ew & Ugh to say the least. :( We did have our annual holiday party this past Saturday and it was quite fun! Well, as much fun as a sick person can have. :) This year employees got to bring their families (not just spouses) and the it was a carnival theme that included; carnival games, pony rides, bouncy houses, popcorn, cotton candy, hot dogs, live music by local band Nuff Sedd, psychic stations, massage stations, prize giveaways (I got a GC to Melting Pot, yum!), a festive holiday dinner, and even a train ride on the Lahaina Sugar Cane train that took us to and from the carnival location. It was a fun afternoon. After the party we visited with our friend Tasha and her Ohana.  They're visiting from Redding, CA.  She has the best and most adorable baby boy, Jed. He is a gem! As soon as I met him I fell in love with him. She is such a great mother.. it's crazy to think how grown up we are now; married and with kids (well, she has the kid, not me, not yet at least!!) Tasha and I have known eachother since elementary days.. so it's been about 20 years of friendship! Wow! It's great to be able to still be so close to friends from your childhood.  Some people grow apart, but I'm glad such a beautiful woman like Tasha, remains in my life. :)

I'm feeling woozy again, so I must end it here. Hope everyone is having a better Monday than me.. drinking lots of fluids and plopped on my bed resting is where I will be... :) Take care lovlies oh and don't forget to enter my ciellestar giveaway (see below post), you have till the end of the week!!

Love, S

p.s. Here is the only pic we took on Saturday at my company holiday party.. I look a mess, ha ha!! but that train ride was fun! :)
p.p.s. and here is the lovely Pooma sporting one of her winter coats. She's so stylish isn't she?!

I won, I won!

I can't believe I'm even admitting this... but tonight, I went to watch New Moon AGAIN. That's number 3, OMG!! My lovely sister, Leah treated.. and the hubby stayed home :) I promise, I will not be watching it in the theatre again... but I'll more than likely be purchasing the dvd when it comes out.  ha!

When I got home I found a lovely surprise in my inbox.  Dina from Dina's Days emailed me to let me know I won her Stephanie Johnson clutch giveaway

Oooooooooooooooo!!! I was so excited. I yelled for Eli to come and see what I won! I really couldn't believe it, because I've never won a giveaway. I can't wait for the clutch to arrive. Definitely check out Dina's blog... great fashion finds, inspiration, oooh and a scrumptious baklava recipe that I'm dying to try. :) Yum. Thanks again Dina!!

I got this tunic a while ago (maybe a year), and although I was drawn to the lovely eyelets and puffy sleeve, when I brought it home, everytime I put it on I couldn't help but feel like a quarterback because of the puffy sleeves. It's Aloha Friday

The first week of December flew by! a few more blinks and it'll be 2010. How crazy is that? Seriously where did the year go?

My toe is doing much better today, but I still haven't gone to the doctors.  I'm very hopeful that it will heal on it's own. I've told it many times today, that if she gets better.. she'll get a new pair of heels. hee hee.

I had to say goodbye to Mr. Monk tonight. I'm so sad, but I'm glad he finally found out what happened to Trudy. Good thing, I've got Neal Caffrey to ease my sadness. ;P  Matt Bomer is beautiful eye candy. hee hee.

My lovely friend Cielle opened up her etsy shop. Check out her beautiful, made with love jewelry, hereStay tuned for a lovely giveaway. :)

My left big toe is sad. :( I won't be wearing any heels for a while.. SUPER SAD. :( Hopefully a while means like a week. I'm trying to schedule an appointment to see the doc tomorrow, because my big toe is in a funk -- it's soooooooo swollen. I'm not really sure what's going on, but that toe has never been the same since my BFF, Jo stepped on it on the day of my wedding. Ouch!! I still love her regadless and she acutally calls it "My toe" (meaning her toe), because everytime it acts up and gets sore/swollen, I call her up to remind her how she ruined my cute big toe!! :)

I hope the doc gives me some good news! Wish me luck.

Thrifty Tuesdays

While we were driving home from the gym tonight, Eli noticed that the moon was full. I looked at it and told him, actually it's a "new moon".  We giggled to eachother, because he knew what I was referring to.  I suggested that we go watch New Moon (second time for me, first time for him) and to my surprise, he said ok.  I was thrilled -- crazy I know. I'm a 27 year old "in love with a vampire." ha ha. Guilty as charged.  We caught the last show and to my surprise it was Thrity Tuesday's at the box office.  We hardly ever go out to the movies because it's so overpriced, but we got $5 tickets tonight. Woo hoo!  The second time around for me was even more exciting, but Eli begs to differ. Every time I looked over he was yawning, laughing at inapropriate times, or asking what was going to happen next. If it wasn't the second time I watched it, I'd probably move a seat away from him.. Ha ha!! :)  I asked him if he liked it when it was done and he was like, "Yeah, it was ok." and smiled.  I didn't expect him to love it like I do, but I appreciated that he took me to watch it again. :) He's the best hubby ever.

Before we went out we caught the Victoria Secret fashion show -- Eli was hypnotized!! ha ha. I don't blame him.. I was too.  The show was spectacular, it never disappoints.  Gorgeous women and fabulous fashion.
